If that's what you want to call a win, the yes Naruto let Sasuke win.
Yes, Sasuke won the fight itself. Naruto won with the whole forehead deal, but that isn't a fight, now is it?

Naruto didn't let Sasuke win. Sasuke defeated Naruto in the fight. Naruto only accomplished scratching the headband, but doing so doesn't make him a winner of the fight in a whole.

Because him leaving didnt involve Naruto it involved Itachi

gaining the EMS involved Naruto as his best friend and Naruto rerouted that idea during his fight at the valley of the end
Him leaving had to do with gaining power to combat Itachi with, yes, however Naruto's fight with Sasuke was about Naruto bringing Sasuke to his senses, as well as bringing him back to Konoha.

Naruto's words may have spoken to him slightly, but that's all it was, a slight inner speaking that never actually changed Sasuke's true innitial intentions of leaveing. Naruto failed in his fight to actually bring Sasuke back both physically and mentally because: Sasuke's obsession for Itachi was stronger then the words that Naruto spoke to him. It may have dented him, but it was like that scratch on his headband, only a scratch and Sasuke's true intentions remained dead set in his heart.

Naruto scratched Sasuke's headband, and only scratched Sasuke's heart. In your speaking of the "Mental Aspect" of the fight, Sasuke still won there as well, even though Naruto's words penitrated him slightly, but not enough to actually turn Sasuke around and return to Konoha.

On a previous note, you asked how old I am, it would be polite for you to give me your age as well, please (if you don't mind)

What? Was my post to difficult for your mind to process?

Simply put.

Naruto: Won his tiny goal of scratching Sasuke's headband, but FAILED his promise to Sakura-retrieving Sasuke and beating him into hand and hand combat.

Sasuke: FAILED to accquire his MS, but defeated Naruto in an actual fight.

Overall winner: Sasuke. He beat Naruto in actual fight. Both had failed goals, but both won some. Naruto with the headband, and Sasuke going to Orochimaru. That's 1 for both. They both lost one. They are tied now. Now, Sasuke beat Naruto in the fight itself. Sasuke win overall.

Facepalm that.

sasuke still left because he couldn't stand that naruto kept getting stronger faster at least thats how he saw it. what really decided him was when he was walking down the street and he saw the back of (what im guessing is a ) water tank the hole in the back was huge sasukes attack didn't do that much damage oh well ill agree to disagree lol
And so that added to Sasuke's mentality to gaining power by leaving, meaning those words that Naruto spoke to him had an affect, yet not enough to truely change his heart's desire for power, meaning Sasuke's mental state was stronger then Naruto's even if Sasuke spared his life out of what he said, it changed no realy thing in Sasuke and didn't stray his path into darkness. Sasuke's mental state triumphed over Naruto's.

ok good point, but i say both win in their own ways (sasuke won physically,Naruto won mentally)
Sasuke>Naruto (physical and mental) read the statement right above this and my previous one.

He only changed Sasukes mindset on killing him at the time to gain MS... if u think about it sasuke hasnt spared one person in his way before or after gaining the curse mark so i feel Naruto did acheive enough to gain a tie in that battle... but i gues this is how we say Naruto defeated Nagato (while he was alive attack on konoha saga) But naruto didnt lay a finger on him actually he just spoke to him...im 19 and i feel this about this thread right now

Sasuke's never been in a position (as seen) where he's had to spare anybody before hand. We've seen how he refused to kill those shinobi with Orochimaru (in a flashback) however that was in Shippuden. To be honest, Sasuke's had his ass handed to him more then we've seen him win if you think about it (against Haku, against Lee in first encounter, against Orochimaru first encounter, against Gaara during Shukaku phase). We can't say that he's never spared a person before as we've never seen a situation where he has had to, so saying that was what Naruto changed in him, can't really be proven with solid fact I'm afraid.

That is where we will disagree I'm afraid. You say that Naruto was strong enough to changes that mindframe of Sasuke, but I say, Sasuke was never a killer before. He never desired to kill anybody except Itachi before he actually did (didn't kill Itachi but you know what I mean). I say Sasuke won in both aspects because Naruto's words weren't strong enough of an impact to change his entire mindset, which was Naruto's goal: and it was a goal that Naruto failed, and Sasuke supressed, meaning he won there as well.

Now this is my opinion and I may not be online much longer so this maybe my final argument for the night.
