tsukyomi is genjutsu, it has already been stated how this will be broken and if anything is being underestimated, its jiraiya's knowledge as a shinobi.....for all itachi fans: itachi himself did not underestimate jiraiya even though you people have. If their escape was all a fake, then i wonder why itachi did'nt run against asuma and kurenai....

Wow people are severely underestimating Itachi's Tsukuyomi

Tsukuyomi is still genjutsu nothing more, nothing less. I think people overestimate it without understanding why its a powerful genjutsu.

What makes Tsukuyomi so powerful is becuase it gets cast so fast on the enemy and therefore less time for the victim to break it before serious damage is inflicted. If you force yourself out of it with chakra disruptions it doesn't matter how good the genjutsu is, sasuke using genjutsu on killerbee is case in point. One second he catches killerbee in genjutsu then the next second he breaks out it and punches a hole in his chest.

I'm pretty sure that in the anime when Jiraiya was training naruto and kisame and itachi came for him. Itachi said and I quote " Don't go Kisame he is one of the legendary sannin we wouldn't be able to beat him. "

Itachi's Susano'o> Sasuke's version. Sasuke only had the complete version when he was about to kill Kakashi.

But about ma and pa frog its still almost impossible to break out a MS genjutsu, sasuke only did it because he has the same eyes (family) as Itachi. and Plus when Itachi put Kakshi in the genjutsu it was a mere second in real time so how will Ma and Pa know to disturb the chakra flow to try and break it?

Why u make Susano like a god it is not Jariya has wy more than ennough attacks to defeat it.

MA and Pa would know if Jariya is in Genjutsu because he would stop moving plus they are fighting a sharingan user they wouls know what to expect.

You all are talking about uchiha and there gen jutsu but where are they now the are all dead, and living shells LOL. Why haven they taken over the world when they first discovered Tuskiyomi. Most people say Jiraiya is to smart to be hit with Tsukuyomi but if he doesnt look at itachi in the face how is he going to fight him? Only someone like Mite Guy can predict movements just by looking at thier feet, and you cannot assume Jiraiya can do that. Not because he cant because its not in the manga (you cannot use an argument that isnt factualy based in the manga.)

And everyone says that the natural energy will save Jiraiya or Ma and Pa could put their chakra in him but what happens when Itachi puts all three under Tsukuyomi? Than they are all screwed.

Amaterasu is not something that anyone can just dodge, Sasuke dodged it because he used Orochimarus white snake ability and Itachi wasnt aiming for him completly or that would have defeted the purpose of keeping sasuke alive. Madara just had the fire phase right through him. And When did Jiraiya show any teqnique that shows he can get away from amaterasu?(which is considered almost unavoidable)

And Sussano, Please someone give me a legitament argument on how Jiraiya can beat this. running away counts as a loss so what does he do? He cant hit Itachi because of yatas mirror no jutsu that Jiraiya has will help. If he uses swamp of the underworld Itachi could use those seconds to hit him with the sword of tskota.

Itachi himself said that he didn't think Kisame and himself could defeat Jiraya together. Itachi is pretty analytical like that, so I think we can trust him at his word.

People talk about Itachi like he spams his MS techniques the same way that Sasuke does. Itachi's style is different. We know that Itachi was starting to lose some of his vision, and we also know that Sasuke was sick (though we don't know how sick, or when get got sick, etc).

Jiraya used a fire seal to seal a bit of Amaterasu into a scroll. It's not unreasonable to think that he could do the same thing to protect himself from Amaterasu. His sage mode would also enable him to beat Itachi in hand-to-hand combat quite easily, even considering Itachi's skill with taijutsu.

The real wildcard comes down to Tsukuyomi and genjutsu, which Itachi is the unrivaled master at and Jiraya admits to not being good at defending. I think Jiraya's only real defense is using Ma and Pa in sage mode to help snap him out of it. Ma and Pa are much better with genjutsu, so they might be able to help with that too.

Susanoo is a perfect defense, but it's limited: Itachi cannot use it for long. In the battle with Sasuke he used it so much that he died. There's also the real risk that he could have gone blind during the battle from overuse. Itachi uses Susanoo in dire emergencies only, such as when Sasuke was preparing the un-dodgable Kirin attack.

Also, we see Danzo able to pierce Sasuke's Susanoo with an attack, and nobody suggests that Danzo is as powerful as Jiraya. If Danzo's attack can pierce Susanoo, Jiraya's Great Ball Rasengan can easily do it too.

Without Genjutsu, Jiraya wins the battle easily. With Genjutsu, things are harder but Jiraya has the tools to be able to break it. In either case, I think Jiraya wins.

Itachi is a strong individual, and whether or not he could beat jiraiya is up to discussion, but all you have done is list itachi`s most powerful jutsus and asked us how to defeat them. What about the opponent? You could do the exact same thing for jiraiya and make it look like he is impossible to beat him in battle.


How would itachi react to sage mode? Senjutsu enhance all your abilities,and jiraiya was one of the legendary sannin.Huge amount of chakra, so he will never get tired,his taijutsu is on another level,incredible speed and unlike naruto he has a wide variety of justus(long,mid and close range).

On top of that he can fuse with shima and fukasaku.We saw how he dealt with pain`s summons and we got a taste of their great collaboration justus(e.g. the wind/fire collab).Plus those two toads cover his only weak spot, genjustu.Show me where in the manga itachi can cast several genjustu spells at the same time?
Each time one of them would get caught, one of the other two would stop it.Another important point, is that just because jiraiya is bad at casting genjutsu doesn`t mean his defense is weak. Remember he was the one who taught naruto how to stop the flow of chakra.

We know the fourth hokage`s strongest physical jutsu was the rasengan. The guy even hit the mighty madara with it(btw madara arguably the strongest uchiha who ever lived).Naruto defeated itachi(the powerful clone version) with the odama rasengan.Now remember, sage mode enhances all his his ninjustu so how could itachi survive it? The only reason pain escaped it was because he could absorb any kind of ninjutsu.

If that wasn`t enough we got one of the strongest genjustu out there.Shima and fukasaku put pain to sleep, the same fate would most likely happen to itachi too.How can he dodge that? How can anybody?

Btw we have seen plenty of evidence that amaterasucan be dodged or defended.Madara teleported,raikage dodged it with speed and gaara used his sand.Killerbee transported himself somewhere else.Who know how many others? The novelty of the justu is beginning to wear off.Jiraiya is great with sealing and transportation techniques and he got speed with sage mode, so he is already on his way to dodge it.


I could keep going but i think you got my point...Include both characters abilities if you want a good discussion.
The fight will be even and both men can win on a good day, but it is not as black and white as you make it out to be.

I don't remember but I saw somebody say Itachi at full health will win. That's impossible. Every second you use MS you're getting weaker and weaker physically. I don't know about Tsukuyomi but Amaterasu makes blood come from your eyes, that's not healthy I don't care what anybody says and Susanoo, blazes your chakra the longer you use it. You cannot use MS and be healthy 100% and from what I've observed your eyesight gets wrecked pretty fast when you have MS on so yeah. One more thing about Tsukuyomi, Sharingan orriented genjutsu dosn't work when you're blind so drag the fight out with the Sharingan, loose eyes sight and boom Tsukuyomi's gone. Amaterasu, same thing have to SEE! your opponent to destroy him with that jutsu.

Now a lot of people said Itachi could win, without giveing any explination and the same thing with Jiraiya, I hate that give a GOD DAMN EXPLINATION... please and thank you

I to have posted many intances of proof to why Itachi can't beat Jariya but that still dosen't say I would post something with out substance.

U say Itachi could just kill someone if he wanted, then why isn't MADARA dead yet?

Why not just call the series Itachi instead of Naruto since he can somehow own anyone he wants.
