People realize that they are tied on the databooks right? Even Orochimaru is lower in stats.
Tsukuyomi is short range and each time it has been used Itachi was not being engaged. Jiraiya will have his summons out. Itachi has no counter for these summons other than Amaterasu. 3 MS techniques and Itachi is drained of his chakra. Jiraiya can use shadow clones, and shadow clones can't be distinguished by Sharingan. Itachi already fell for Kakashi's shadow clone, if he falls for Jiraiya's and uses Tsukuyomi, it's over. Susano is easily sunk with swamp of the underworld. Jiraiya has a very good chance at taking this match.

Whoa talk about bringing the dead back to life. Some of the members on this thread are downright ancient.
Itachi may have admitted he couldn't beat Jiraiya, but that could have been a very biased opinion. If Jman starts in SM with the 2 elders, its high difficulty for Itachi. Without SM, its no more than mid difficulty for Itachi. Engulfing Itachi's Susanoo with his giant frog stomach summoning is his only theoretical way to deal with it, but not a true counter.
