Itachi vs Jiraiya?? Jiraiya fans plz answer

In the manga they rarely show the battles of non essential characters the Sanin were called legendary but we only really them fight hanzo. Orochi was tight but we only see him fight naruto and a little skirmish with jiraiya. Ever see the battle between the 1st and madara..nope no one has, but in the context of the manga it's safe to assume there all capable ninjas. I've never seen air but I know it's there.

When Kisame and Itachi talked in chapter 144 they said that Jiraiya would probably be a match for both of them. Itachi then said that everyone has a weakness and he put a genjutsu on a girl to lure Jiraiya away from naruto. If Itachi could really have defeated Jiraiya single handed then itachi and kisame could have tag teamed jiraiya and killed him easy. Instead when Jiraiya did confront them they fled. It sounds to me like Jiraiya would have won, all manga evidence points to Jiraiya's victory. So that means Jiraiya wins.

And thus the debate ends.

Ok now listen up and pay close attention: madara was NEVER afraid of itachi in any way, he was only afraid of the INFORMATION itachi may give to sasuke, potentially making the latter rebel against him. Itachi was nagato's subordinate in akatsuki and yes madara was the leader behind the scenes but that does'nt say anything about itachi being strong.

Konan tried to kill jiraiya and he spit oil on her, if pain didn't show up she was finished. Remember she was tryin to kill him....and failed. Konan had powerful friends but by herself was no match for jiraiya. Plus she was killed with a pipe not a sword or spear talk about insult to injury. And the post on the page before this I talk about itachi and kisame hastliy retreat in the face of jiraiya when the two are capable of taking down tailed beasts with no sweat.

Dude, please not this. Friggin' Kisame was messin around! He just knew that if they fought Jiraiya it would cause a lotta' commotion. Other ninja's would be dragged in and destruction ... all the things that they wanted to avoid.

but if itachi fought jiraiya then he knew jiraiya would push him to his limits and itachi would of ending up using the god of battle sussano then use totsuka sword to seal jiraiya in a invincible enternal genjutsu. itachi wins but with the cost of his eyes then he would fail his mission for sasuke then kisame would end it in capturing naruto with ease

susanoo would be a formidable weapon, no doubt but Jiraiya's ability to go into barriers and use sealing jutsus can overcome susanoo.

jiriya would win because of his sealing and all his knowledge on things. hes been around for what.... like 200 years???!?!?! all im saying is that jiriya most probably knows all of itachis moves. Also he has sage mode. when he fought pien he coulda killed them if they didnt stop gettin up. so if he could do that he can pwn one, unbringbackable ( i know thats not a word) itachi even if itachi uses sasuno. plus jiriya would summon beast toads with swords and shields. also jiriyas needle jizo itachi tries attacking jiriya jirayas hair blocks it. and if u watched a filler jiraya couldve gotten outa almost any genjutsu shiz. that is what i think.

I'm not saying Jiraiya WOULD win, but I am saying he COULD win like this.

Tsukiyomi was broken by Sasuke going into his cursed seal mode, it was broken by Killer Bee in Tailed Beast mode, and I'm sure it can be broken by Jiraiya in Sage Mode. On top of that, Ma and Pa would probably be at this battle due to the opponent they are facing.

Susanoo takes a ton of chakra, which Itachi does not have. If Jiraiya could evade it for long enough, he could outlast Itachi. On top of that, it severely blinds the user. Sasuke used it, and has YET to kill anyone with it.
Susanoo seems to be bound by muscle, and Zetsu saying that Itachi was invincible was likely hyping the technique. Just because you have a shield that can block anything does not mean you can withstand the force of the hit. Jiraiya summoning Gamabunta to hold down Susanoo after a clever diversion would be great, then he could get in Susanoo's open spot like Danzo did with Sasuke. Or, if he used the Goeman technique, it might create a good enough blast to open a gap in Susanoo.

Amaterasu could be taken on by making Shadow clones to take hits as replacements as well.

Likewise, Pain, who is stronger than Itachi stated that Jiraiya would win if he had knowledge of his other bodies, that includes Chibaku Tensei, which was strong enough to hold an 8-tailed Naruto.

We really don't know though who would win, this is just speculation.

.....Trust me shisui was much weaker than jiraiya and i believe he would win in an all out fight. Really itachi can kill anyone when serious..? Itachi wanted to kill madara very seriously, yet what became of that, hmmm?

Ok first off i just want to say i beleive Itachi wins this

I want someone who thinks Jiraiya would win to answer this.

Most people say Jiraiya is to smart to be hit with Tsukuyomi but if he doesnt look at itachi in the face how is he going to fight him? Only someone like Mite Guy can predict movements just by looking at thier feet, and you cannot assume Jiraiya can do that. Not because he cant because its not in the manga (you cannot use an argument that isnt factualy based in the manga.)

And everyone says that the natural energy will save Jiraiya or Ma and Pa could put their chakra in him but what happens when Itachi puts all three under Tsukuyomi? Than they are all screwed.

Amaterasu is not something that anyone can just dodge, Sasuke dodged it because he used Orochimarus white snake ability and Itachi wasnt aiming for him completly or that would have defeted the purpose of keeping sasuke alive. Madara just had the fire phase right through him. And When did Jiraiya show any teqnique that shows he can get away from amaterasu?(which is considered almost unavoidable)

And Sussano, Please someone give me a legitament argument on how Jiraiya can beat this. running away counts as a loss so what does he do? He cant hit Itachi because of yatas mirror no jutsu that Jiraiya has will help. If he uses swamp of the underworld Itachi could use those seconds to hit him with the sword of tskota.

Dude first of all Kanoha has enough intel about the uchiha fighting style for jariya to walk into a Tsukuyomi. Plus u don't even know if Itachi is power full enough to bring 3 sage under his genjutsu or if he even can do all three. Plus the other sage could act like Genjutsu protection disturbing Jariya's Chakra if needed. With Natural energy Jariya's chakra is stronger can itachi control that.

About the Amatrasu
we can all agree sasuke is more skilled in the use of Amatrasu than Itachi. So in the fight with Riakage why didn't sasuke simply stare at him and burn him up? Well it was because Riakage was to fast, the only reason Riakage lost his arm is because he willingly touched sasuke's black flames. In sage mode Jariya is faster not as fast as Riakage but fast enough. Also Jariya already has knowledge of Amatarsu, enough to hold naruto from touching it and seal it away.

I remembered a dude gave me the same argument on how to beat susano. Well Jariya can use this Jutsu:

Susano and itachi would be drawn into this and ink to their doom. The first time Jariya used it it was weak because he was poisoned, he claimed had it not been for that he would of submerged the whole snake. Picture it now in sage mode total change of landscape. Then he could use this jutsu to finish him of:

how is itachi going to walk on ground that is not there and doge that wave of flaming wind powered oil while still using susano? He will have to deactivate susano and when he does total pwnage will take place.

Ok for starters, tsukiyomi is a genjutsu and ANY genjutsu is overcome completely by disturbing a body's chakra through another person( the 2 toads) . Ametarasu is a jutsu that has proven that it can be overcome by speed and deception( jman has both qualities).Susanoo can be sealed or overcome by depleting itachi's chakra, something jiraiya would know how to do. While he(itachi) was undoubtedly good, this 'genius' dude did'nt have the foresight to see the black flame thrower he gave his bro was going to be ineffective against a man who he knew for years, was his sensei and yet he could'nt find out his weakness......'genious' maybe but not 'genius'.
