No, it means you have garbage taste. You want Oda to:

1. Go the expected, cliched route over doing something new and creative

2. Give up countless plot set-ups and cut away connections established through years and years of clever writing, extensive worldbuilding and subtle foreshadowing

3. Pull a random power-up out of nowhere in a part of the story where the events make such a power-up make zero sense.

Some people are complaining and saying that it's "too fast for Big Mom to be defeated" but I disagree.. we see antagonists be introduced and defeated all in one arc plenty of times.. with BM though, her conflict has been building up ever since the first arc of the New World.. which would make sense why she's the first Yonko to be defeated as well..

Oda set this whole situation up perfectly.. Big mom already has crew members down, and she has multiple enemies on her island at the moment. Because of her being extra cocky, she has given Luffy an opportunity that not too many other pirates would be lucky enough to get.. so Luffy is going to take advantage of this and kick her a$$ just like he said he would.. no more running away, because that's not what the Pirate King would do!

If Oda wants to give all of these story points enough attention and detail, I just don't see him doing anything else with Big Mom after this arc.

This is her arc.
She is the main problem.
She will be defeated during this arc and then we can move on to the next problem in the next arc.

What you say is true but I feel like him beating BM would be too much of a jump. He barely managed to beat a commander. With Nami. I think it would be poor writing unless oda pulls some Enel shit. Three supernovas together got raped by kaidou. However correct me if I am wrong but didn't a flashback with Rayleigh show that G4 wasnt enough for some of the animals? Memories a bit hazy

It's not at all the same thing. For one, I said Brook's power would be useful, but I never made the leap that it would defeat Big Mom.

Secondly, having more brute strength ins't a unique power interaction with someone like Big Mom. Big Mom has shown absolutely nothing to indicate that someone who uses brute force would have a special advantage over her.

Luffy then rushed in rashly, and Lucci used his Zoan form to throw Luffy out of a window. Lucci didn't knock out Luffy or mutilate him or destroy him or anything.

I'm completely fine with the notion that Luffy eating right now will put him back to the full strength.

I'm not okay with the notion that eating any plain old food will make Luffy stronger than he was even before he was hungry.

That's the difference between the Big Mom situation and Luffy's situation. If Luffy wasn't hungry when he encountered Rob Lucci at the building in Water 7, he'd have been the same strength he was at during Enie's Lobby.

What you're suggesting is that Luffy would go from weaker than Cracker to as strong as Big Mom only through eating. Unless it's through Sanji's Attack Cuisine or something like that, then it doesn't make sense.

No, instead, you'd prefer for the writer of the manga to throw away decades of story-telling, world building, and connections between characters just to see the same cliched story for the 101st time.

Connections between Kaido and Big Mom:

1. Kaido defeated Gekko Moriah, the antagonist of the island where we meet Big Mom's daughter, Lola.

2. Luffy unveils Gear Fourth against Doflamingo. Gear Fourth bears a striking resemblance to Nightmare Luffy, who debuted against who? Gekko Moriah.

3. Doflamingo works for Kaido, the guy who defeated Gekko Moriah.

4. Big Mom's powers incredibly similarly to Gekko Moriah's

5. The fact that both Kaido and Big Mom want Caesar Clown is perfect for putting them against each other

6. A major plot point of Thriller Bark was Lola's zombie trying to force a wedding with Absalom. What food-themed island largely involves a wedding again?

And these are just the ones I remember off the top of my head right now. And you want Oda to throw away all of these connections by keeping Big Mom and Kaido two separate stories, despite perfectly setting up countless threads to sew them into the same path as Love Cook outlined? Please.
