Obito's childhood trauma can't even compare to what Sasuke went through, Sasuke's past is just simply way deeper.

at the end of the day both saw the persons they most loved in the world killed before their very eyes (yes rin was like family to obito, he didnt have parents if you remember), at the end of the day they ended up alone, and as we all know when you´re a kid or a teen you tend to be very volatile, you couldnt expect them to turn out well after all the crap they went through, even if a person you know nothing about gets killed before you, it will leave a trauma, now figure that out with kids and teens, obito didnt have it easy you know, he didnt have the right mentor, you cant expect a kid to make the right desicions

Because Sasuke doesn't want to take over the world over a 12 year old girl and he doesn't toy with peoples lives for the laughs. He actually wants to do something about the world and his existence, while all of Rinbito's actions were irrelevant.

Is this thread even forreal?

Why does everyone count this as a small loss? By the time he "died", pretty much the only people that cared about him were Minato, Kushina, Kakashi, and Rin, with Rin being pretty much the first person to care.

Because one death, not even family, isn't significant enough to really make someone go crazy and do something like IT. So basically it's like comparing the Uchiha Massacre to Rin's sacrifice.

Obito didn't simply fall cause of RIN he went into darkness because of orphanage, curse of hatred,Madaras words, the screwed you shinobi system and a puppet seal placed on his heart.

Yes because 1 person can equate to the weight of an entire clan. I agree.

His entire motive for going on this murderous rampage against the world is just too retarded.
I'm Sorry but I'll never have respect for Obito.

Why? Sasuke lost the people he loved and went insane, Obito lost the person he loved (he didn't have a family, and, as I've told everyone else, for a long time Rin was the only person that cared about him), except Sasuke was given help and rejected it, Obito never had that luxury.

My first post solo this thread.. However I will add that Obito lost respect from a lot of people when his motive for doing what he did was cause of Rin

OP is comparing trauma between Friend passing away and a man seeing genocide of his own people AS WELL as the trauma of understandings why that genocide took place

What?People here excuse Obito's actions all the freaking time, ironically they condemn Sasuke for things that Obito's actions make them look small in comparison.

If Sasuke didn't care about those people, do you think he'd have fallen? Rin was the only person Obito really cared about, and, why wouldn't she be? Minato and Kushina began showing him kindness when he became Minato's student, and Kakashi didn't consider Obito a friend until hours (at most) before he was mortally wounded, Rin almost always cared for him. Also, as I've said, Sasuke had people that actually wanted to help him, but chose to ignore them anyway, Obito had an evil old man.

No I'm not, I'm comparing two people that lost the ones they card about most, except one was given the opportunity to get help and chose to turn evil anyway, while the other was not and is still treated worse than the former.

what would hurt more?

Losing your best friend and deciding to destroy the world.

or

watching your family, loved ones, As well as your mother and father killed directly before your eyes.. Then later finding out that it was all a setup.. Then finding out that it was a justified setup...Then understanind that it was a justified setup for greater good... Get real OP

It depends, honestly. Obito didn't have parents, so that's an unfair comparison, I'm going by how much they loved that person. I'd say Obito loved Rin (the first person to show him kindness and compassion) as much as Sasuke loved his family. You have to take this out of your perspective and put it in someone else's, using family as a comparison is unfair because a Obito was always an orphan.

Sorry, I don't really have the willpower to read right now. My main thing though between the two is that Sasuke lost his entire family and was betrayed by the person he loved most while Obito put all his reason for living into one person, and when they died he fell prey to darkness. I am not saying that Obito's story isn't sad to some, but I just don't relate to it. Losing Rin and feeling that this world is bunk would not have been enough to make me kill my beloved teacher and his wife. If I really thought this world was so bad like Obito did then I would probably just kill myself. No reason for me to deprive anyone else of their enjoyment in this world.

You also forgot to add the fact that Itachi came back to the leaf a second time and mindfcked Sasuke again just to remind him of that night.

And yet people want to get asshurt over Sasuke's actions as opposed to Obito who did everything on a whim and killed many innocents.

Right I agree the amount of death does not matter its about the emotion... however:

Sasuke Wants to change the world due to what happened in this past

Obito wants to destroy the world due to what happened in his past

when you look at the actions in the past that push there judgement.... As a grown man Obito is lulz

I don't blame obito tho.. I blame kishi.. Obito should have blamed the system for RIN death and decided to go evil. Not him being hurt cause he couldnt be with his true love

So let´s say you have two familys, one family consists of a child and his mother and the other family consists of a mother, father, another child and two siblings, lets now say the mother of the first child gets killed and on the second family the mother, father and two siblings are killed too.
Now which one do you say suffers the most out of this two kids?
i dont know for you, but for me it´s not a matter of how many relatives were killed, what matters is that at the end of the day both no longer have family, are alone, of course they may have friends but family but that doesnt replace family, see the analogy,
numbers dont matter at the end of the day, at the end of the day the most important thing they had was taken away from them
