who is the strongest Sannin and why?

Oro is the strongest. Ppl are saying w/o Edo oro loses, yet that is his tech. like Jman uses Sage mode. Also, idk how ppl could say Jman is stronger than Oro in an actual fight?? Oro has shown plenty of different forms, and I'm not seeing Jman getting past his 8 branches tech. nor something strong enough to actually kill him.

There is no "strongest Sannin". Literally.
The Sannin are based on the Japanese version of Rock, Paper, Scissors.
Frog > Slug
Slug > Snake
Snake > Frog
The sole purpose of giving the Sannin these correlating summons was to say there is no one dominant. Each one is stronger than another, but can be beaten by the third. It's a deadlock.
Now you can chose which one you favor the most but that's far from proving they're the strongest.

the strongest? as in terms of power? that would be Orochimaru, due to him having edo tensei. a technique that comes with no drawbacks and allows him to revive kage-class shinobi that come with immortality.
That technique alone put orochimaru above tsunade and jiraiya.
now as far as versatility goes, then jiraiya takes this. His "displayed" jutsu arsenal and battle intelligence puts him above both orochimaru and tsunade.
he can basically counter almost any situation. now i will state a list of jiraiya's versatility and feats
-he is the only ninja that can use oil
-his sage mode basically grants him unlimited chakra and greatly enhance his ninjutsu and striking power making them more lethal
-he has one of the best chakra levels in the manga
-he has access to one of the strongest genjutsu in the manga ( frog song)
-he has the best ninjutsu for inside places/buildings and that is ( toad stomach)
-he has a wide variety of summon whereas tsunade and orochimaro do not.
-he can hide in a toad
-he can seal you in a toad's stomach dimension which is full of acid.
-he can flood the battlefield with a tidal wave of boiling oil
-he can turn the ground you stand on into chakra infused sinking mud instaneously
-he can use a major wide scale fire technique
-he can take control of ones mind and hide himself within their shadow
-he can kick you so hard, you'll go blind
-he can summon a mountain sized toads... on top of you instaneously
-he can manipulate and expand his hair to trap and impale you and use it as a defense
-he can shoot a barrage of needles that could pierce your organs
-he can escape from battle any time he desires.
-he can infiltrate villages by either capturing a ninja and taking over his shadow or use a toad and hide in it's mouth
-he can manipulate dimensions to fit multiple people in his tiny toads and carry to and from battlefields.
-he can turn people into toads.

I dunno, tbh oro broke the mold a long time ago, J-man was nearly killed by 4 tailed Naruto, whilst oro fought him alone, it's more than obvious that if either of the other 2 Sannin were in that fight, Naruto would be mourning another loss at his own hands, oro even slightly had the upper hand.
J-man's not gonna be able to fight heads up like oro did, and Tsunade stands even less of a chance, oro can take hella damage and cough up a brand new body like a loogie, that alone has him faring better in the majority of his fights, oro was in his own league compared to j-man and Tsunade, especially when you look at what they can do on paper

Jiraya with sage mode, everybody says oro with edo, but remember u need a peroson or many to make an edo, so he would of have to prepared them before hand, Also jiraya has a variety of sealing jutsu which would seal the edos. it would be a long ass fight but jiraya barely takes this one.

Ill say oro by hype, but jiraiya by feat.
We never really saw oro at his strongest whislt we say jiraiya.
Oro got owned pretty quickly by a paralyses genjutsu and tbh so would jiraiya.
The oro that fought sarutobi couldve pretty much killed by himself with little difficulty in my opinion, but as he stated he wanted sarutobi to suffer and thats why he summoned sarutobi's former sensei's. He was enjoying this, whislt hardly doing anything. He greatly underestimated sarutobi.
A weakened oro held his own against tsunade and a poisoned jiraiya.
He also held his own against 4 tailed naruto, but this greatly weakened him further. This was the perfect time for sasuketo pounce on him and he did with little difficulty.
We really havent seen oro at his strongest and its a real shame because id like to see why sarutobi considered him for the hokage position.
Ive changed my mind, even by feat oro has this. He has killed 2 kages. Jiraiya's only fight, he lost to nagato. Lets to underestimate him though most people wouldve lost aswell if they were in jiraiya's situation

ok this is pissing me off Im getting tired of ppl saying that itachi just didnt wanna fight jiraiya because he was from the leaf...KISHIMOTO IS THE WRITER and he wrote that itachi said he couldnt beat Jiraiya and even with Kisame it would be a tie at best so stop trying to make the story out to be however you want it and go with what Kishi wrote he is the author....
with this being said Jiraiya is better then orochimaru because Orochimaru is slightly stronger then Jiraiya in normal form but only slightly so when in sage mode Jiraiya totally outshines oro

Well I would say Jiraiya. But I'm pretty sure Tsunade will show some crazy strong jutsus that she didn't have when she fought with Kabuto the first time, then she will seem to have been stronger than the other two easily. That's how it always and will always be.... The more the series goes on the stronger all characters will be.
Silly .....Kishimoto explained Itachi's actions that day...Not killing Kakashi, Not wanting to fight, not wanting to take naruto and not wanting to look suspicious infront of KISAME
Its simple to realize....
Orochimaru has a databook 5 in genjutsu.....
Jiraya has 3 and said himself genjutsu was his weak point.....

Do you want me to come up with all things itachi has said in order to cover up the truth about his life.
If you believe what itachi said about jiraiya, tell me. Do you believe he wanted to take sasuke's eyes and become immortal?. After the truth about his life has been revealed common sense should prevail.
Also the fact is from what weve seen from all 3, either itachi or kisame alone can beat jiraiya.
If they were to tag team, its overkill surely

This question is too general because both Jiraiya and Orochimaru have said that Tsunade has monstrous physical strength.....
