Well actually Hiruzen didnt stop the coffins. He only thought he did. As kabuto explained the summoning failed because he tried to summon the 4th, who was sealed in the deathreaper. But I guess he could sink it with his earth jutsu or something. If he knows what Oro is upto that is. Or he could stop Oro from inserting the kunai which puts them under his complete control

Point blank range amaterasu has no travelling time, and if tobi the man who s/t dodged raikages v2 punch, couldn't react fast enough to itachi's amaterasu trigger....Jiraya would die easily...

His only true reason of coming to konoha was to warn danzo that the deal stil holds even though the third was dead.......He had to fight them since they attacked him, but as shown he spared kaakshi's life, leaving kaakshi wondering why he didn't just kill him.....He couldn't act suspicious in front of kisame....and he did not want to actually take naruto and give him to pain.....And sage mode takes a shit load of prep time for jiraya

1)He was able to recover quickly after the fight with Naruto 4 tails form
2)During the battle he was cut in half and all that stuff and still lived.
