I'll be honest with you... This has to be the post that has responded to me personally the most on NB since 2015 and let me tell you why.

I'm in your shoes bro, albeit I'm 2 years older (25). Nothing tempts more than to move on the spot and nothing feels more right than to move as soon as I can. It's been on my mind since I came back home from my 1 year term military service back in December of 2014, and the only reason I haven't moved out yet is because of money.

Money is the answer to everything my friend. I've been working for almost 10 years but I've never worked more than merely part time, earning just a small enough amount to live my own life until 2015, that's when I finally started working more to realize that I can actually start saving up and still hanging out with friends every now and then. I've been torn up about whether to rent or to buy something of my own, and the more I save up the more I lean towards the latter. The only problem seems to be time however. The constant nagging from my mother treating me like I'm still only 10 years old, the constant pressure to establish oneself...

It can really take a toll on you, that's for sure. For me it's all about grinding... I argue almost every day with my mother, almost to the breaking point but I know, just a little longer now, just a few more months and it will be worth it. Move now and the best I can do is probably a year before I need to move back home broke again, that has been my constant reminder for the last year.

No matter how hard it is, no matter how tired you are and no matter how much you just want to say fu*k it and get the hell out, make sure you reach that goal of yours, finish up school and then take it from there, trust me on that. Move too soon and it might backfire, move too late and well... It's all about balance. For me it feels as though I'm going on autopilot right now, just taking day by day getting through work to earn that money that I will need. My head is constantly set upon that future where I've already moved and not a single day goes by without me thinking about it. But I know that it will all be worth it if I can stick to my plan to reach my goal.

Just need to grind a little bit more, a little bit more...

PS: Try to keep the discussion clean guys, too many assumptions and accusations going around here.
Thanks for your advice. I'll endure until I have a career started

He still has a point tho. (btw you Sound really rude)
I experienced stuff my Mum didn't and she was unable to give proper advice back then.

Also everyone is an individual. We do different things and gain different experience. My mom helped me a lot with many things but at times she couldn't.

Did you read what he said? He called me ignorant twice without elaborating.

I never said your mom knows everything, of course she wont be able to help with EVERY single problem, shes not God.

I said shes more wise than you. The fact that you said she helps with most of your problems already proves that. She will always want to do whats best for you. She moved out before. She knows exactly what it felt like. You, on the otherhand, dont. So you may be quick to wanna leave, thinking it'll make your life 10x better. But it wont. And to cope with your bordeom, you'll go out partying, drinking, having ***, etc possibly ruining your life. Unless you have a job and a girlfriend/wife, its best to listen to your parents. Like I said, they have no reason to ruin your life.

I love my mom but she sure as hell isn't wiser than me, let alone smarter in a lot of areas.

I don't talk back to her. I'm tolerating this for the moment. My sister talks back a lot. I feel like I'm just living the life my mom wants me to have, not the life that I want to have. She's married. Owes me $40,000+

Wow, when on Earth you had 40000 $ to give her?

Hm, lets see. She: carried you for 9 months despite the toll it has had on her body; fed you; sheltered you; raised you; taught you right from wrong or at least played a key part in your morals; collectively spent way over 40,000 on you. The list is endless.

> Owes me $40,000.

Man shut your ungrateful, bitch ass up. She's your mother. You can have as many girlfriends as you want in your life, but you're only given one mother. Fuck a $100,000, she's priceless. But of course, you're too stupid to see that. So carry on with your current attitude, we'll see who'll be balling their eyes out and full of regret on the day she passes.

thread brate... and wtf with 40,000? stfu...

He said he had accident when he was 10 and he was given 40k and her mom took it. Lol
If it is true an accident is not a work of the person involved and for raising a kid or for taking care of a kid after an accident this amount is like zero.
