Yes Rei, we Europeans are much more civilized. I'm shocked with 4 things here, that would never happen on our Continent, and I wasn't able to whatch the whole vid:
- The supid violence that happened there.
- The fact that the crowd did nothing
- The fact that the guards did nothing
and most importantly
- the fact that media rolled the same clip with this kind of violence multiple times. I mean, I don't agree with censoring, but people need to have a bit of common sense.
In our continent, although I can only speak of my country, criminals are first judged in the streets and then in the court. Even if they hire great lawyers and get out, we all know what happened. If we were to see something like that (especially with 2 girls) the fight would have been stopped as soon as thy triped on the walk.
This video was disgusting
Meh, no offense O_O but in which Portugal do you live?
I've seen lots of videos, including one where everything happens inside Vasco da Gama commercial center and dude.. i was completly shocked, a group of.. 8 guys or something chased after one that was running, one of them cough him and all of them start beating him up in the middle of one of the biggest commercial centres in our country, in mid day, lots of ppl were there, no one did nothing. They were just seeing the thing happen. They beat him up until he got unscounscious, and even after that, all of them left execpt one that kept jumping on his head and chest with extreme brutality for like 3 minutes while he was already uncounscious, on the ground, without moving =/. Even after one minute or so, ppl kept watching the kid laying there on the ground without doing nothing. The men of the store which was right in front of the fight was just watching, he was shocked but he didnt do anything.
On my school, the father of a kid got beaten up by another bunch of teenagers =/ lots of parents were in front of the school, waiting for their kids and no one did nothing.
In middle of McDonald's, while everything is having launch, a guy came in and robbed some friends of mine, no one did nothing.
Even I.. >=| a guy beat my gf, i went to his school. He called like 10 friends of him, i called ppl too, we fought, i beat the crap out of him in front of one of the most privilieged colleges in Lisbon and no one did nothing. I know cops can't be everywhere but i've seen this kind of situations so much times.. and this wasnt supposed to happen.
I've assisted at inumerous assaults in middle day, with lots of ppl on the street. Guess what, no one does nothing. I could give you much more examples i've seen or others i've been told about. All of this happened near my school and it isn't located on a place with much social problems or near a social neighborhood. By the contrary =/.
But we have the other extreme too. Cops abusing their power. If they feel like fighting and find someone suspicious on the street, they can find a reason to beat you up, even if you didnt do anything.
With this i'm not saying my country sucks or that it is violent. All countries have this kind of situations, i just mentioned them because i've seen it multiple times. We live in extremes while we were supposed to live in balance. There can't be violence on the streets, but there is no need for cops to beat ppl up.
