I mean, they're both strong. They'd both go out and have a good fight. Why be pickey and argue about this? I mean, Jyraiya's dead and if he wasn't (just to be silly and say he's alive) then Itachi wouldn't kill/fight him.

One-on-one I'd say Jyraiya. But with Kisame with him, that would be a tough one.

1. Itachi never wanted to kill any leaf ninjas.
2. He joined in Akatsuki to have a pact with its leader (Madara) not to touch Konoha. He is a good guy after all.
3. He never wanted to capture Naruto that time. His only purpose being there is to say to the elders that "i am still alive." Meaning they should not hurt Sasuke by any means or suffer the consequences.
After this incident, Kisame knew that capturing the nine tails was never really their purpose back then.
Itachi and Kisame will win against Jiraiya if they go all out.
Itachi vs Jiraiya is really hard to tell.
This versus threads involving characters that haven't face at all is pointless. We really have no proof who will win. What we only have are speculations on what would happen depending on jutsu's and their capacity to fight. At the end of the day, what we have are weak arguments and biased judgments.
Speculations can never be proven facts until they happen.

And you're right. We will never know because it will never happen. 90% of the votes on these threads are based on personal views and biased actions. Even people who provide facts rarely ever show the ones that show opposition to their points.

Jyraiya's dead. And now, I'm kind of glad because it helped Naruto grow and leap fore ward in skill, power, character, and the ability to lead. I'm just glad Kabuto didn't get a sample of Jyraiya's DNA. If he was brought back, I'd be SOOO ticked off.
