What if that one objective morality we come to detest was actually what would prevent that crimes committed in the world today with no negative effects?

If there was an allpowerful being who wanted to do that, then we wouldn't be having those problems in the first place. When has "god" even been able to do something like that with no negative repercussions, when his go to method is genocide?

How can they ruin something that tells them they have free will? :/

Are you talking about Christianity? I was just saying that in general for all religions.

Sometimes religious people can make the people of their religion look bad.

Society. Humans. Not an ethereal sky daddy. Objective morality just means you have one bastard who you can't say is wrong.

People did

For a second there a though yall actually believe right and wrong where not just personal views that are influenced by environmental stimulus but l actual facts. Now if you shun religious people for believing in things that cant be proven with science, even though there are many things science cant prove you don't look like hypocrites.

Apparently morality is supposed to be universal, but is hindered by religion

Please, do you really think Science vs Religion is a legitimate contest? You're pitting a method of acquiring knowledge that is testable and falsifiable, against a story book that people take too seriously.

He's not wrong. Spawn of corrupted angels ravaging the earth? Flood the earth. City full of immorality? Reduce the city to ashes. Pharaoh won't free his people? Strike down an entire type of people. God is very trigger-happy, as opposed to the countless peaceful ways a reality-bending omnipotent deity could handle things.

You still think that God oks gay marriages. I'm done trying to explain any type of religious script to you and I mean that literally

God is not subject to the same rules as us. He is the creator and can take away what he creates. So killing is not a matter. That is the way I see it as a religious person. It's probably the same for other people who believe in God.

If there is a God, then he defines what is evil and good and could even make us feel good about killing and feel evil by saving others. It's pretty stupid to bound him by our morals.

I think there's a discrepancy in the Bible about that that ultimately proves detrimental to it.

Regardless, that doesn't change that God could have done it any other way. God could have removed the desire to act immorally from their hearts. God could have struck down the offspring of the corrupted angels. God could have never created the concept of sin. Instead, he chose to go the route that led to the most death, suffering, and bloodshed possible. Scriptural analysis isn't needed to see this.

Thought I said I wasn't trying to debate with you and here you are being persistent that I am gonna do so, you might as well pretend I don't exist in this thread

If you do not want to debate with me, the best course of action for you will be to not reply. Because if you reply, I'll more than likely respond. The claims I made regarding God is still valid, regardless of whatever you may say. Could, or could he not, handle things in a more peaceful way that could yield zero casualties?

You people are crazy to say that. This is why people choose to side against God and choose not to believe.

Don't know what you are talking about just pointing out hypocrisy. If you condemn someon for doing something you also do you are being hypocritical. God is apparently a belief with no proof just like morals are. I didn't say a thing about science vs religion I would argue that I find it to be totally pointless and unnecessary.
