Murder =/= Killing

We kill animals for food, is it wrong?

Are we putting ourselves and God on the same level?

And yes, it is wrong. But there is no right or wrong when it comes to survival. Then again, that's putting us on the same level as wild animals. Also, have you not heard of vegans? Vegetarians?

It's a tool. End of story. Might as well devote your lives to a decent book. Or Twilight.

I cant see myself being generally religious though I feel it has driven the whole someone or something being responsible for everything thing to be viewed as fairy tale like, Unless it can be explained by science(which incase you didn't know cant actually explain EVERYTHING).

Personally I have more of a problem with antireligion.

So you are justifying Gods killing/murdering of people?

All about perspective seeing as how God isn't evil, no it was justified

And you didn't answer my question

This was already explained to you a hop, skip and a thread ago.

I don't think he's justifying, but it may come off as so. Imo, God actually refered to premeditated, unjustified killing - murder. Although God ordered the extermination of entire cities, He did so in righteous judgment on a people whose corruption had led to extreme wickedness, including child sacrifice. Did God destroy the righteous along with the wicked? In an exchange with Abraham, God indicated that He would spare the wicked to save the righteous. He demonstrated this principle by saving righteous people from Sodom and Jericho prior to their destruction. The charge that God indiscriminately murdered people does not hold to critical evaluation of the biblical texts.

This was already explained though, not about to entertain this again. Riker just likes being argumentative and some atheist don't like having much perspective when it comes to religion

Something created to help us understand the world around but over time was corrupted into a tool to control people, then evetually used as a tool of war.

We are arguing what's right and wrong now eh, wait who sets the grounds for what is right and wrong again?

Society. Humans. Not an ethereal sky daddy. Objective morality just means you have one bastard who you can't say is wrong.

What if that one objective morality we come to detest was actually what would prevent that crimes committed in the world today with no negative effects?

Maybe Religion is good

It's just the people who ruin it.

You are "famous" in NB for your stance on religion? :lol

OT:I believe in God, that is it. The only bad thing about religion are religious fanatics.

I like how simple that answer is. But people will be people, which means there are always going to be *******s.
