Why dont you go back and read on WHY those wars started.

WW2 started primarily because Hitler was power-mad and believed German blood to be superior and untainted. Religion wasn't the cause, just an extra angle.

WW1 started primarily because of existing tensions between countries of the Triple Entente and the Triple Alliance. War being triggered by Black Hand associates planning the Archduke's assassination. The Black Hand were nationalists.

Seeing a pattern? It's nationalism in both cases. The only difference is that one motivates, where the other started the ball rolling.

Usually when an Atheist says that sort of thing, it's in the context of "And this is why I wouldn't worship God even if you could prove he existed".

I don't disagree with this but i want to add that both world wars were constructed to bring about a global government. A quote from Paul Warburg who at one time controlled 1/4 of the worlds money said "We shall have World Government, whether or not we like it. The only question is whether World Government will be achieved by conquest or consent"
By the way his son James Walburg was an integral player in establishing the Federal Reserve Bank.
It always has been and always will be about control and money, religion is just one of many tools that is used.
As for Hitler the same bankers that funded him in WWll also funded the allies. Not to mention there was only one company in the world that purduced the fuel Hitler needed for his jet aircraft and that was a US company. Its Funny how that all works isn't it.

Religion does more harm than it does good.

It serves its purpose to those who want to feel that there is something after death.
Little more, little less.

That being said, it also gives people enough incentive to destroy that which they fear and that which their 'holy book' says is wrong.

I believe it is important to respect people's religion because it's their choice. However we have the people that misunderstand religion and in that way it creates war and conflict.

Bring up an interesting point. It wouldn't be hard for an omnipotent God to create a planet like this on a whim and lose interest... If he did exist, he could've gone elsewhere.

Well, I gave my reasons for atheism with this account many times in ancient times xd You can search them back if you wish...For my current stance and reasons, check the posts I made with an alt (coz this was banned for a while >.< so yeah, my ban kinda also marks the end of a phase in my life and the beginning of a new one).

I think the people that want to ban religion are not considering the fact that violent, ignorant people are gonna be violent and ignorant regardless of their faith. If it's not "God" that inspires them to hate, it will be their close minded society, a strong willed figurehead, hell even a television program... religion doesn't cause people to do bad or be aggressive. It just gives them an excuse. As would many other things, given the opportunity.
