@kam, since you presume to think that susanoo is a godly, i would like you to know that it's not. every technique no matter how powerful it is can be overcome by another. the acid mist from the mizukage could melt susanoo bones. i know it's a kekkei genkai but still it got the job done. so stop behaving like susanoo is the ultimate technique that spells doom on the users enemies. can you even picture a battle between pain and itachi. now who do you think will win. please let me know your answer

itachis sussano is the ultimate technique totsuka sword + yata mirror= invincible
and dont say itachis sussano is not invincible because zetsu stated it is.
the only downside to this ultimate technique is it inflicts huge anount of strain and chakra on its user and itachis stamina is poor so he can only use his raging god of battle for a very short time and also he will go blind after using it.

the only way to beat itachis sussano is to last long against it and try and evade the totsuka sword so itachi will run out of stamina and chakra then his sussano will go and itachis defeated. jiraiya would not evade the totsuka sword and he will not get threw the yata mirror so he will be sealed in a invincible eternal genjutsu, so long one of the legendary sannin lol. jiraiya will be on the floor trying to cling to his life in despair, and itachi will walk up to him and say you DARE TO CHALLENGE THE UCHIHA, THE UCHIHAS ARE FEARED BY ALL......DONT FORGET IT!!!

Well they had to let the village know that the Akatsuki was present! Kakashi is a toy for Itachi... perfect person to " battle " to show there existence without having to go through a hassle. If he had decided to fight Jiraiya, the fight would have been a lot more intense and would have attracted other shinobi, thus endangering Itachi and Kisame's situaution for no reason

Plus, orochimaru held his own against a 4-tailed naruto in a weakened state and still thought the battle was all fun and entertaining while the 4-tails almost killed jiraiya though im sure if jiraiya went into sennin mode he would not have almost died.

Apperently a lot of supporters of jiraya's side still think that itachi and kisame ran away because they couldn't have beaten him, some only think that because the ANIME (which we are in the MANGA section, can we use the anime as a source?) saying they would be beaten is rock hard evedense he can't beat jiraya... even with another kage level partner(who can beat tailed hosts alone)

And before that they fought kakashi and asuma and kurenai (making sure they all lived as well) because they still had shit to do (find sasuke, "attempt" to catch naruto) the way it looked in my opinon, itachi could put all 3 of them down by himself with genjutsu,(so why run away when you can subdue without hurting them but make it look like your still a villian?)
He only had to use tskuyomi on kakashi because regular genjutsu is seen thru by a sharingan which kakashi is quite good with so itachi would have had to actually hurt him possibly kill him to move on

But even with sharingan no one but another MS sharingan uchiha, so at the time only madara could break out of his MS genjutsu alone (I still think he let sasuke out of it in there fight on purpose). So the tech for breaking genjutsu that jiraya teaches naruto wouldn't work when tskuyomi is in a league of its own. Itachi's mastery of it lets him put you in days and days of real mental torture that you can feel in seconds of real time.
by the time he could even start molding chakra the whole thing would be over

Then theres the idea that depending on how severe he wanted to make it, (because itachi's he can control the length and the method of pain) he might even break jiraya's will to fight, or slice his throat while hes in the jutsu so IF and only IF he could avoid genjutsu and some of itachi's other fast attacks, remember itachi's hands move faster then a reguler eye can see, kakashi only barely caught it, long enough to summon ma and pa and have them put him in sage mode could he distupt powerful genjutus or move out of amatsaru before it touches him.

So yeah if you start it off with jiraya in sage mode with the frogs on his shoulders and knowledge of how all 3 MS jutu works, then he wins, if hes lacking sage mode at the start, its over in seconds with itachi winning...in my opinon

now the only thing that made the uchiha more wasn't just because of their power. they had the power alright but they also loved to fight and war. now combining them will make any clan feared. but you must know that senju's were even more feared. they even had no match except for the uchiha's. now if they were so feared as u said why didn't they take control? let me tell u it's because a much stronger power was keeping them in check. now there is nothing difficult to choose from in a fight between pain and itachi. pain will hands down own itachi. why?, cos all his techs will be rendered useless

now back to the topic at hand. if jman could put up with the rinnegan, why can't he with the sharingan. and also note that he only lost to pain because of the secret pain held. he knows most of itachi's techs. the only surprising one i can see will be the susanoo and the totsuka sword and jman can deal with that. but susanoo is not invincible it can be overcomed by another power

I must say what you posted there was funny. I read the manga yes. I asked a question which was, why didn't itachi defeat someone who is weaker than kakashi? Why go for kakashi in the first place?... I know itachi is a good guy. I like him as well. I like jiraya as well. I compare both side If itachi was not suffering from his illness or the exhaution from using MS. Itachi will prevail offcourse. Specially, with his susanoo but, then again his chakra might have a toll on him. Itachi is very very powerful. I seriously doubt he can lost long like jiraya does. Jiraya is equally or even stronger itachi. Please read the manga carefull about the sage mode and especially about jiraya's technique. Don't also forget to read the chapters about his fight against Pain.

it's that we are underestimating it. we are on the other hand overestimating him. we all know how powerful susanoo is. that's how we thought when we first saw gaara's ultimate defense but then it was broken pretty easily by sasuke. all i'm trying to say is that there is no absolute jutsu. all can we overcome one way or another

First of all, this is the universally accepted relation between the 3 great eye jutsus:

rinnegan>sharingan(all forms)>byakugan

If not, why would madara want nagato's eyes and not itachi's?

Secondly, Jiraiya took out 4 out of 6 pain's, Nagato himself confessed how tough he was and that if he had prior info on them, he would have taken out all 6 and therefore, beat the rinnegan.

Thirdly, while i admit the fact that itachi was on konoha's side might mean that he ran deliberately, this is not said so in the manga and everyone is inferring this to have been the case. Don't state something, however likely, to be fact when its just speculation.


Fourth and last point, while there is little doubt about itachi being a powerhouse, his ability was mangekyuo sharingan, not ems. Everyone who is on the itachi's susanoo was unbeatable wagon, yata's mirror could never be penetrated, totsuka would seal anything, blah blah blah, fail to realize that all this would only be true if itachi had ems. Ems would not affect his health and eyes, but he did'nt have it........look at this link:

Itachi explains the disadvantages of the ms.......itachi used his ms many times, so whatever time you would speculate him to fight jiraiya, he would be at a huge disadvantage( unless you're saying they fight at the night the uchiha massacre takes place when itachi's mangekyou has barely been used).

Yeah I understand what you are saying. But we have not and I don't think we will see the weakness to the Yata mirror, and I don't think Jiraiya would be able to find that weakness in a fight. The 3rd Databook states that it can block any attack, and as we've seen Itachi's version of Susano'o He uses the mirror to block and attacks at the same time. How will Jiraiya Sage Mode or not stop that?

Don't u get it kanesanin when itachi uses his sussano it will only grant him invincibility for a very short time. He can deflect any attack and seal any attack. But he hasn't got no stamina and EMS to make his sussano last very long.
