Madara wasn't that strong back then either, he didn't have rinnegan. Also WHAT? Not every Uchicha can use amaterasu and all the genjutsu techniques, the uchicha all get different abilities when they awaken their sharingan to a high enough level. Its like saying that Sasuke can use the same eye technique that Kakashi has and warp people into another dimension just because we have seen Kakashi doing it.
Also these aren't normal trees. Yamato isn't able to supress the 9 tails chakra using normal wood thats grown out of the ground you know... Obviously the trees have special properties, they have lots of chakra going through them and they continue to grow at a rapid rate. Whatever burns will just grow back straight away probably. Also you don't even know most of the 1st abilities, he wasn't just good at growing trees man...

Well this thread wasnt made to prove who is stronger only to try and figure out how this battle ended out with Hashi winning when it was 2v1 from the start and as we can see the 9 tails was doing a lot of damage.

Maybe if you try reading the manga you would know that the fight wasn't two versus one.Hashirama had his wife,kunoichi from the Uzumaki Clan, by his side.And Mito sealed Kurama within her.So the fight was one on one for the most part or two versus one, as in Mito and Hashirama versus Madara.

Well, seeing as he sealed Kurama into Mito, we can assume Mito was there. Maybe Mito helped him in the battle.

Hashirama taught his younger brother (2nd Hokage) Water jutsus, therefore Hashirama was a master of every element.

and btw madara already mentioned that hashirama had the ability to heal himself without forming any seals....so there's one up for hashi....water neutralises fire...another plus...and also the idea that madara aimed to gain hashi's cells from the fight can't be neglected can it??

You're probably right, but where did Madara say this? Only reference to Tsunade's strength that I've been able to find was in the latest chapter, he said she's slower than the Raikage, but faster than him. I would no doubt assume he simply pulled Madara out of his Susano'o just like Gaara did.

But we do know he was good at wood release which requires you to combine water and earth perfectly he could use both against the fire. He also had a knowledge of many justsu as well as the scroll of seals. They will probably reveal in detail how he won later.
