All well and good, but can you explain how you came to this conclusion?

Sword of Totsuka? Sage mode sensing/dodging renders this useless. If he dodged amaterasu arrow he is dodging the sword. It is a manga fact that totsuka has never hit a moving target, only stationary people. Even on the off chance he does get hit, he can liquify thanks to suigetsu's DNA.

But the sword of totsuka isnt meant for physical attacks/offensive strikes...its a sealing sword so all it has to do is hit/touch you then the sealing jutsu commences....

But yes if Itachi wasnt EDO he wouldve lost..its a manga fact, COULD he have a chance at winning yes...its less than 5% chance of itachi winning but somehow i see him doing it..of course kabuto im guessing would win 998/1000 battles tho:shrug:

What idiot can't understand that Kabuto with all his edos is the strongest in the manga?

This should be non-debatable.

lol in case you missed the manga. itachi>kabuto

You must be registered for see images

guess the manga is trolling:sy: the manga> your crying

mabye but izamai was perfect for kabuto.

idk why people say he could solo everyone

how could he solo hashirama? kabuto wasnt even born:sy:

how could he solo madara? madara would shit on him, and whats left of his edo army.

people kabuto and his full edo army could solo

1. sasuke
2. naruto
3.5 kages
4....

pretty much kabuto could solo all expect above .

itachi- would lose to kabuto and his army if he couldnt use izamai on kabuto and release the seal.

minato- same as above expect, he is fast as hell but idk if he knows the hand seals

everyone else should be ovbis. kabuto is not strong, everything that makes him strong by default is orochimaru's charka, allowing him to summon edos, get dsm, and everything. but still this happen to him

Again, that was a 2 vs 1 fight inwhich both parties were holding back for various reasons. In addition Itachi was an Edo Tensei. My matchup is 1 v1 in which Itachi is not an Edo. Honestly Kabuto dominated most of that 2 v1 fight until Izanami activated, but since Itachi isn't Edo in my matchup he won't get it off.

Also the bolded part is the biggest misconception from people that can't accept that Kabuto is top teir. Kabuto absorbed Orochimaru's chakra from Anko, which is the chakra Oro took back. Even before he had done that he had already summoned 20-30 Edo tensei, and mention he still had that jutsu (sage mode) as a backup. Kabuto still has both Edo tensei, sage mode and all of the abilities implanted in him even after Oro took his chakra back.

What idiot can't understand that Kabuto with all his edos is the strongest in the manga?

This should be non-debatable.
You would think its obvious but I guess not. But in this case I excluded Edo's but honestly Kabuto still wins.

Oro yook his power backk so itachii> and even none edo itachi would outsmart him
Read the first comment I wrote in this post, it relates to Oro's chakra. Also how can you say that Itachi will outsmart him when Kabuto is just as or possibly smarter then Itachi.

Actually Tayuya's Demonic Flute is the downfall of Itachi, had Itachi been alone then he wouldn't be able to break it. The manner of that particular sound genjutsu being broken by Shikamaru in Part 1 was very different due to individual abilities, in this case Shikamaru's Shadow Imitation technique. As you can see when Shikamaru was caught its obvious he was paralysed. As you stated Shika only escaped by breaking his through his technique. Furthermore, if you read what Shikamaru says the distance of Tayuya only helped him even more.

Now Itachi could've done the same thing whilst in this but the level of the genjutsu seemed different and more powerful than before as both Sasuke and Itachi had no control of their chakra. This is why you can see their Susano start to deplete and fully gone by the next , offering no protection what so ever. It is only after Itachi and Sasuke had genjutsu on were they able to bring back their .

So the question remains, in what manner would Itachi break this genjutsu with no control of his own chakra whilst paralysed at the same time? Itachi would need an external source to break it the way Shikamaru did.

Furthermore, I'm not sure why the level of Demonic Flute was different since Shikamaru was able to use his chakra to use Shadow Imitation but the following pages show that Tayuya's sound genjutsu consists of different variations as it had different names upon comparison as seen and .

Interesting reply however i have more to say about that illusion that i didnt. People seem to think that sound based genjutsu are stronger in terms of its binding power than seal based or sharingan based genjutsu because its been described as the strongest genjutsu. However the reason for this is because it can take over more than 1 opponent at a time but also its almost impossible to evade, thats the advantage that sound based genjutsu has over these other 2 methods.

Mateki Mugen Onsa is a B rank paralysis sound based genjutsu;
GENJUTSU; Mateki: Mugen Onsa (Demonic Flute: Phantasmal Crotchets*)
User: Tayuya
Supplementary; Close, Medium, Long ranges; Rank: B

Main text

One of the genjutsu that rely on the sound of the flute. Whoever hears it will be assailed by the vivid sensation that their limbs have been fastened with sturdy ropes, thus becoming unable to move about freely. At the same time, they are fed morbid hallucinations, which makes it also possible to run them down mentally. Given that the means of transmission is sound-based, it has a large range of effectiveness, on top of which it can be applied even without knowledge of the enemy's position, which makes for an exceedingly convenient jutsu.

Second Databook, page 276

Kurenai's seal seal based paralysis genjutsu is a B rank technique similar to the one above.
GENJUTSU; Magen: Jubaku Satsu (Genjutsu; Demonic Illusion: Woodbound Assassination)
User: Yuuhi Kurenai
Supplementary; Close range; Rank: B

Main text

One of the genjutsu that have been passed along since ancient times in Konoha. One is completely robbed of their mobility as they see the mirage of a tree coiling itself around them! Given that the subject remains conscious, this jutsu proves extremely efficient for information-gathering.

Second Databook, page 275

Both if you read the description of the two does the same thing, it takes away mobility. The only difference is that one is sound whilst the other is seal based. Now im not saying because itachi said kurenai's genjutsu, a B rank technique doesnt work on him and used Magen Kyo Tenchi-ten he couldve tried something similar because we dont know how that works against sound genjutsu, however though paralysed he was able to move his mouth and talk to both kabuto and sasuke. If he was able to move his mouth. The same way how kurenai was paralysed and still managed to bite her lip to cause pain. If he was able to talk, he can move his mouth and achieve the same thing that kurenai did thus breaking free due to pain

There is 1 thing i forgot though which is sage mode. Sage mode enhances all 3 forms of ninja art and gives them a boost and that is what wouldve made the illusion stronger. However a similar thing can be said about the cm2 and that is what stage Tayuya was in when she used this against shikamaru

EDIT: As for people saying izanami was an ass pull, so was DSM. Before the confrontation both parties thought this was itachi with all his abilities we knew when he was alive, against part 1 kabuto who was basically compared to part 1 kakashi who itachi soundly beat. Kishi took a turn and moulded kabuto as the ideal opponent due to info gathered and abilities on itachi and he even gave kabuto the environmental advantage. He later went against this and moulded kabuto as the ideal opponent for itachi and this was due to the situational use of izanami, something that was basically created for people like kabuto.

I however wouldnt call either an ass pull because as soon as jiraiya unleashed sm, it paved the way for other versions of sm. Similarly as soon as kishi started naming sharingan abilities due to the influence of japanese deities, a whole host of people had predicted these technique's and when izanagi was revealed it was only a matter of time until izanami came along

kabuto is stronger than itachi no doubt. itachi just utilizes his skills far better than kabuto. itachi went into that cave with a goal he was not going to fail at, to end edo tensei; also knowing his opponenet and what he was getting into hence the few remarks he made of being right about kabuto. honestly, itachi would have decapitated kabuto more smoothly if his younger brother wasnt there

That just made my day dude, finally someone who understands it.

Why oh why do people bother saying that Kabuto is stronger than Itachi, yes he might be stronger but Itachi outbrains Kabuto as he has shown in his battle against Kabuto, Kabuto had no chance whatsoever against Itachi because Itachi was way too smart for Kabuto. So this also ends the discussion wether or not Itachi would win if he wasn't an Edo. Itachi would still own him.

Raw strength doesn't mean shit when your opponent is smarter than you...

Itachi is a freaking genius.

Kabuto might have more power, but it's about whether or not he knows how and when to use it. Itachi by far has way more experience so it's hard to judge with Itachi being an Edo and with Sasuke being there.

A brain is most certainly a ninja tool, if your brain enables you to beat someone , you a stronger than them. Or at least better in a one on one situation.

Kabuto is bootleg and knew it. That's y he stole everyone else's powers. Itachi all day. Kabuto was in the genjutsu 2/3 of the fight and didn't even know it. Already trapped by the time he "cut itachi in half"

I seriously don't understand how people can say that a non-edo itachi can beat Kabuto in a 1v1 fight. Kabuto is basically custom built to beat Itachi. Look at it this way.

Amaterasu? Kabuto uses oral rebirth and continues on

Fire/ Water release? Fire release is countered by kabuto's own water release, whilst the water release Itachi has shown don't really pose any real threat due to Kabuto's dodging capabilities.

Tsukuyomi/ Genjutsu? Completely useless because kabuto closes his eyes.

Susanoo? Kabuto has at least 4 counters. White rage to make Itachi drop it and be paralysed. Sound genjutsu from Tayaya, which he can't get out of without assistance. Bone forest from Kimi or Inorganic transmutation can be used to erupt underneat susano'o, piercing Itachi.

Izanami? Itachi literally said it himself that Izanami can't be used in battle situations. The only reason Itachi pulled it off was because he was Edo, and even then he died twice to set it off.

So quite obviously, Kabuto takes this. Kabuto counters anything itachi has, he is faster than itachi, he is much stronger than itachi, his attacks can easily overcome susano'o. He can easily makes amaterasu and genjutsu useless and is superior in taijutsu thanks to suigetsu's liquefaction techniques. His stamina is unlimited thanks to sage mode whilst Itachi has stamina problems. I haven't even mentioned Kabuto's summons since he doesn't really need them.

He is ahead in ninjutsu, taijutsu, even genjutsu (since Itachi's are useless), speed, strength and stamina all by a good margin in this match, and is either higher or equal in intellect. Itachi loses in a proper fight every time. Also if someone seriously says "Itachi wasn't trying to kill Kabuto" think about this - Kabuto was also not aiming to kill since he had to make sure not to kill Sasuke.

If you somehow think different explain properly, no fanboy crap.

Well put, again my only response to anything that has to do with Itachi is over-estimation. People think because Itachi is intelligent that he can defeat anyone.

But his lack of chakra and stamina really set him behind various shinobi. He's probably one of the most overrated character's in Naruto. I get it, he's smart and he has a sharingan...but he's really not that strong.

Susanoo' is good and all, but it has weaknesses, Amateratsu is good, but it's just katon...it can be dodged, it can be sealed, etc. tsukuyomi is awesome, but the needs direct eye contact to be used.

I completely agree with this post. Itachi stood no chance against Kabuto alone, he couldn't even touch him without being edo and without Sasuke being there. Those who underrate Kabuto don't understand just how strong he is.

In my opinion Kabuto surpassed Orochimaru from what we've seen. This may not be true later on, perhaps we haven't seen everything Orochimaru can do, but for now Kabuto still remains one of the strongest villains in the manga.
