Kabuto has attacks that bypass Yata Mirror, e.g. Inorganic reincarnation, White rage, Sound Genjutsu

Itachi can't counter Sound genjutsu, or white rage, and both of these attacks force him to drop his Susano'o, allowing; in a 1v1, an easy kill

Well i read most of this thread, and i had the same line of thinking as fizzy, and saw none of these points disproved. Tell me how Itachi can beat Kabuto when Kabuto literally can counter every single one of his techniques. Edo Itachi got hit by deathblows several times when they were fighting, he only didn't die because he was edo, and that was also with EMS sasuke at his side. Alive Itachi would get stomped, and those denying that he would are in serious denial. Explain to me how Itachi wins....no one has been able to do so successfully so far.

OMG what is with you people; read the damn manga, Izanami connects two events together and THEN puts you in the loop.

I seriously don't understand how people can say that a non-edo itachi can beat Kabuto in a 1v1 fight. Kabuto is basically custom built to beat Itachi. Look at it this way.

Amaterasu? Kabuto uses oral rebirth and continues on

Fire/ Water release? Fire release is countered by kabuto's own water release, whilst the water release Itachi has shown don't really pose any real threat due to Kabuto's dodging capabilities.

Tsukuyomi/ Genjutsu? Completely useless because kabuto closes his eyes.

Sword of Totsuka? Sage mode sensing/dodging renders this useless. If he dodged amaterasu arrow he is dodging the sword. It is a manga fact that totsuka has never hit a moving target, only stationary people. Even on the off chance he does get hit, he can liquify thanks to suigetsu's DNA.

Susanoo? Kabuto has at least 4 counters. White rage to make Itachi drop it and be paralysed. Sound genjutsu from Tayaya, which he can't get out of without assistance. Bone forest from Kimi or Inorganic transmutation can be used to erupt underneat susano'o, piercing Itachi.

Izanami? Itachi literally said it himself that Izanami can't be used in battle situations. The only reason Itachi pulled it off was because he was Edo, and even then he died twice to set it off.

So quite obviously, Kabuto takes this. Kabuto counters anything itachi has, he is faster than itachi, he is much stronger than itachi, his attacks can easily overcome susano'o. He can easily makes amaterasu and genjutsu useless and is superior in taijutsu thanks to suigetsu's liquefaction techniques. His stamina is unlimited thanks to sage mode whilst Itachi has stamina problems. I haven't even mentioned Kabuto's summons since he doesn't really need them.

He is ahead in ninjutsu, taijutsu, even genjutsu (since Itachi's are useless), speed, strength and stamina all by a good margin in this match, and is either higher or equal in intellect. Itachi loses in a proper fight every time. Also if someone seriously says "Itachi wasn't trying to kill Kabuto" think about this - Kabuto was also not aiming to kill since he had to make sure not to kill Sasuke.

The match was Alive Itachi vs Kabuto, since he he made this thread in response to people who said Alive Itachi could defeat Kabuto.

He uses White Rage like he did in the manga, or he can use Muki Tensei, Tayuya's genjutsu, or Kimimaro's Bone Forest, just like it said in the OP, the cave isn't necessary for all those attacks.

White rage already went through susanoo,bone forest hits itachi from under,sound gen one shots itachi,kabuto cut itachi in half despite being an edo and having an ems user there,if sasuke wasnt there,itachi would have ben reprogrammed,the only argument itachi fan boys bring is that kabuto already lost to 'itachi',forgetting that sasuke saved him more than once,and that kabuto's power wasnt his,well edo itachi,was that his own?,is infinite chakra and immortality itachi's own?.

The fact is there,i dont know what the argument is all about,just children sulking over the fact that their precious itachi cant beat kabuto alone,kabuto beats any form of itachi one on one with low-mid diff.
