You also have to factor in that Dinho never had the team built around him and his European competition was AC Milan, Juve, Liverpool etc. When they had great defenders like Cannavaro, Nesta, Zambrotta etc. As much as I love Barca, Pique's complaining in the game was a joke and quite hilarious. He complained that the guy's elbow hit him when it clearly didn't.

That proves that u didnt even watch the match, the guy was bleeding constantly from the guys elbow on his nose, and refree gave just a normal foul that's why he complained at least for a yellow or something, he was bleeding for ****s sake and u say it didnt hit him.

It's really difficult to figure out top 5 accurately, the close competition I must say(only center backs).
Though here is my top 5:
1. Diego Godin
2. Thiago Silva
3. Sergio Ramos
4. Giorgio Chiellini
5. Mats Hummels
Notable mentions: Vincent Kompany, John Terry, Gary Cahill, Mehdi Benatia etc..

I did watch the match. Look at the replay. Not even the base of his elbow touches Pique. It was his extended arm and it was an accident when they went up for the ball. Pique just started bleeding very easily.

Do any of you guys rate Domenico Berardi? Currently plays for Sassuolo but essentially owned by Juventus.

He just turned 21 but in his first two seasons of top flight football he's scored over 30 goals (I believe 32) and 20 assists. For comparison's sake, he did that a month faster than Messi at the same age (It took Messi until he was 20 years old and 9 months whereas Berardi was 20 years and 8 months). In similar fashion to the U-20 world cup in 2007, Berardi was caring the U-20 Italian team. His vision, pace and dribbling is on another level compared to players his age.
