But it is said that the Juubi's body in fact is the moon. It says he took the juubi's body and created the moon. The Juubi's body is the moon. So if gedo mazo actaully is made from the original Juubi's body the moon would disappear. I have seen the moon in the manga since the body was first made/shown. So that one would be incorrect. Your other theories might be valid though. Nice job ^_^

Jubi had one eye. Gedo has 9 eyes. why nine? because it was designed to co-inside with the 9 tailed beasts.
also the name gedo. it follows the buddhist theme of the rinnegan and is named after the outer path (a rinne skill)

I think it is some kind of hollow cask type thing. And once all the bijuu's chakra are taken in by it and stored in it then the juubi awakens.

ok now before this has been made countless times. most of you are going to say im wrong well here is the 4 reason why he may be the juubi.


1 the nine eyes: is it so particulary obvious he has nine eyes. ok there are nine beasts and it seems the gedomazdo was meant to seal them away. but i believe it is the juubi's "hollow" body. a body which without the souls of the nine beasts (chakra) cannot function on its on. so what if after all tailed beasts are sealed and blindfold comes off. will it just be another set of eyes or will gedo mazdo have the juubi eye

2 how tobi got ahold of it. ok this the narutoverse people. tobi may have teleported to the moon. wha you ask he made the claim he could go anywhere he wanted and there is actually no heard of range of the teleportation process. so techically tobi has omnipresence. thus he could got to the juubi. warp the body away and get back to the world

has you can tell i numbered the tails on the juubi. so the other 4 things on its head are not tails. if you look at the gedo mazdo pic. then at the juubi pick you'll see a simular placement of horns or stubs (whichever) also look at the gedomazo broken pieces im sure if you count them side to back their would be 10. so how come so many things about looks match up with both. thats because their are only 2 plausibilities

1 it is the juubi
2 a anti juubi weapon created by the so6p himself

4 power: just in its hollow anc controled form it at actually was enough for the gedo mazdo to take on a entire battlefield worth of enemies and even a super sized chouji and his father. hell it took a butterfly bullet punch and did not even flinch. also the sheer attack power is enough to match a tailed beast. also the way it chains them in the manga reminds of another thing. it so obivious tobi may not be uchiha but uzumaki. because the only other person with the chain ability is kushina uzumaki (naruto's mom). it seems like it can just bind the tailed beast no matter how strong or even the amount a group that pushes against it.

after this all set in done
i came up with this calculation

its the juubi: 40%
a weapon made for the containment of the juubi: 30%
just another summon or created old tech: 30%

anyway also another thing legends can change over time. maybe the sage created the moon and sealed the body and tobi got some how. or the legend itself was wrong and the juubi body was still on the planet

3.) Gedo had the the chakra's of all bijuu's up to bee with a tenticle of Hachibi's. With all that chakra absorbed up, it could easily take on Choji and a bunch of soldiers. wn:

4.) You're Theory's full of "Maybes" or "I'm Sure" etc, as shown in Bold , yet no "100% Right" . Theories are suppose to be with an idea (you have) with Evidence (You dont have). Your Evidence's are really weak.

Say we didnt know how Kakashit got his sharingan, heres how u sound:
Kakashi has Tobi's sharingan eye. Kakashi has a left eye, Tobi's missing a left eye. Tobi warps, Kamui is a warping MS technique. Kakashi being as smart as he is somehow battled Tobi and somehow defeated him and got his eye. How? 5.) Nagato possessed Gedo Mazo one point in time before Tobi. Does that mean he teleported to the moon? No. We dont even know if it's the Juubi.

The Gedo Mazdo has similar characteristics to the Juubi, but what if the Gedo was artificial as in someone (or something...) created it?

The skin of the Gedo appears to have the same texture as wood, possibly indicating that it was created by someone who used the wood style (Hashirama, So6P, or Madara, but more likely Madara). It would make sense seeing as wood style could somehow supress the Bijuu.

This would also avoid the argument of how someone would go about retrieving the body of the Juubi from the moon, assuming the legend is true.

I do agree in the Gedo being a Rinnegan jutsu. If Madara/Tobi somehow created it, he could have passed it on to Nagato, just like he passed on the Rinnegan.

I really only tried to provide food for thought and not prove anyone right/wrong.

I am also unsure if any of this is comepletely correct :shrug:

This talk of Gedo and the Juubi...makes me wonder WHERE the Juubi came from and IF it will play a part in the manga after the end of the War Arc.

Because that's a stupid question... Of course Gedo Mazo isn't the Juubi. We have all the information we need to say the Juubi is up there in the moon. If we didn't know any information on Pain, you would probably say Pain is Naruto's brother because they looked alike wouldn't you? Same thing you're doing with the Gedo Mazo and the Juubi. BUT, we have the Information.

P.s If it did happen, I'd be 40% "Whoa" and 60% "Meh"

ok for the record im basing my theory on a very good possibility. the ones that say read the manga. 1-the present including the anime i followed the entire series going back since 2004 8 years of my life i spent watching the show and reading the manga. im not some dumb fanboy who bases his theory on totaly ratical schemes. tobi has claimed he can be anywhere he wants. in theory he has omnipresence. which means can be anywhere. also the others saying that im stupid or dumb you obivously don't have a clue who i am.

now for the damn record straight. yes i based my thing on a what if. the hollow body may appear to be wood but i hardly doubt madara or harishima created it. also though tobi is considering himself a god like being. he (and it pains me saying this) has a way of pulling a total WTF out of nowhere. also the juubi and the gedomazdo look simular in appreance but i hardly doubt its a weapon to counter the juubi. the hollow theory is on petrification which skin and bone may feel like wood if it should ever go under the right process of chemical changes. the juubi having its chakra drained and its soul taken may have caused its hollow body. why this body is being controled is because of someone giving their chakra to it. which might i say is impressive considering on how nagato struggled against to keep it going and how tobi is all like meh.

but the thing is we have to wait and see. until then don't call me dumb or idiotic. i simply have a open mind
