our DNA is more than 98% same as chimpanzees

We share something like 50% of our genes with a banana, too. That argument is about as valid as saying that because a Frisbee and a computer are both made of plastic, they're almost 100% similar (a bit extreme, but that's my point). It's how the genetic information is expressed that matters, not the fact of the genetic information being there in the first place.

Evolution only seems partially plausible to me.

Sure adaptation happens to a degree. Even natural selection. But one species becoming another is something that only happens in Pokemon.

U can't add information... you can't breed a dog to eventually have wings over centuries (+) unless it's already within their genetic capacity to do so.. (which it isn't.)

@Bold, what information needs to be added? Elaborate on that.

As for the rest, in what scenario would it be beneficial for a dog to grow wings? This is the root of your misunderstanding of evolution. You don't understand that there has to be a reason for something to evolve. There is a reason for a bird's beak to change to suit its environment. These things don't just happen randomly or because you want them to.

How can this not be a religious thread. You believing in it or not clearly shows what you believe and have faith in which is your religion. It's like asking me do you believe in photosynthesis and telling this isnt a scientific thread therefore has nothing to do with science.

You sure about what you saying cause the theory of evolution isnt being questioned by fundamentalist Christians, but is also being questioned by reputable scientist

To top it up scientist have no clear-cut answer, because chemist have never succeeded in reproducing nature's experiments on the creation of life out of non living matter. And they also have no proof that life was not the result of an act of creation

Everything besides laws are questioned by reputable scientists. That's what Science is.

No answer to what?

Also, try not to double/triple post. Just edit your post if you have more to add.

Where's the proof that it was?

K. So I'm going to try and explain this using digimon.

You must be registered for see images

Now. You've heard the expression "Survival of the fittest". This isn't pure strength currently for the most part ofc. It actually refers to an organisms ability to adapta to their environment. If you get a bad mutation in genes. You can't adapt. You die. Your shit genes go with you. The successful mutations get passed on. This happens repeayedly throughout the years.

The digimon to the far left is like Kaguya. Where everything originated. From a certain point anyway...

The next 2 digimon. One stuck to the water. The other became more land orientated. Ofc many failed to adapt to either and died as a result.

I'm not an ape, you're not an ape, humans are not apes.

We can tell from human skulls that there were many failed versions of our species that didn't make it. We were intelligent enough to keep warm and trap animals to feed ourselves and we weren't all wiped out by disease thanks to our genes and variation.

Apes tended to take the more physical route in evolution whereas we ended up on the intellectual side. Chimpanzees could easily crush our skulls and their bodies allow them to climb trees etc easily. We travelled across the World, through all sorts of conditions. What's so far-fetched about that. This is over thousands of years ofc.

They're still made of the same thing at that point. Plastic would be plastic no matter what form you express it as. In what he was saying the a lump of unmoulded plastic at a factory would be the common ancestor frisbee would be a descendant and so would a computer.

That's great, and it doesn't mean humans are descendants of apes.

Yeah, apparently we descended from Bananas.

I'm not an ape, you're not an ape, humans are not apes.

The Caterpie linked already but I'm guessing you didn't read.

The Hominidae (/hɒˈmɪnᵻdiː/), also known as great apes or hominids, are a taxonomic family of primates that includes seven extant species in four genera: Pongo, the Bornean and Sumatran orangutan; Gorilla, the eastern and western gorilla; Pan, the common chimpanzee and bonobo; and Homo, the human.

Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens) are the only extant members of Hominina clade (or human clade), a branch of the tribe Hominini belonging to the family of great apes. They are characterized by erect posture and bipedal locomotion, manual dexterity and increased tool use, and a general trend toward larger, more complex brains and societies.

What you're doing right now is the equivalent of plugging your ears in rl and yelling "NO!" It doesn't matter how many times you state your opinion, there's facts that contradict it.

No answer to how life originated. It should be obvious. And thanks to the latter i ll keep the latter in mind

Well let me take you through a creation story which you very well know but have might never had any deep thought about
Day1. Let there be light then there it came to be.And God called the light day an darkness night thus rotation of the earth begun.
Day2.let an expanse come to be in between the waters. Then God made a division between the water that should be beneath the expanse and the water that should be above it. Now here it is in order for there to be water above an expanse the should be heat that would evaporate water below it. Now you might ask where the heat would be coming from, well the was light created on the first day so the will be heat eventually. Apparently the was no space between the evaporated water and the one below thus making God make an expanse in order to separate the two. These two steps alone show that creation story isnt some folktale or myth. I ll leave the subsequent steps to the ones who really want to know the truth to find out for themselves
