Mutations..are the basis of evolution states the world book encyclopedia. However, it is not just any kind of mutation that evolution requires. Robert Jastrow pointed the slow accumulation of favourable mutations. The environment selects those few mutations that enhance survival, resulting in a series of small changes of life form into another, the origin of a new species. Its is generally accepted that the mutations supposedly involved in evolution are small accidental changes that accumulate over a period of time. Now you said, "mutation that allowed an animal to better survive in its environement". This is totally false. Beneficial mutations are a basis of evolution what proportion of them are beneficial? The is overwhelming agreement on this point among evolutionist. For example Carl Segan declares "most of them are harmful or lethal". It was found in an experiments that, for every succesful or useful mutation, there are many thousands which are harmful". For example when mutated insects were placed in competition with mormal ones the results were always the same. After a greater or lesser number of generations the mutants are eliminated. They could not compete because they were not improved but were degenerate and at a disadvantage. In the long run to be sure mutations make evolution move onward and upward. But do they? Would any process that resulted in the harm more than 999 times out of 1000 be beneficial? If you wanted to build a house, would you hire a builder who, for every correct piece of work, turned out thousands that were defective? And mutation doesnt change living organisms into a completely different organism. The world book of encyclopedia gives an example of what might happen to a beneficial mutation. A plant in a dry area might have a mutant gene that causes it to grow larger and stronger roots. The plant would have a better chance of survival because it roots could absorb more water l. But has anything new appeared? No, its still the same plant. Mutations could change the colour, texture of one's hair but the hair will always remain hair

The majority of mutations are harmful, but that doesn't mean that useful ones don't exist. You see, that's what's interesting about natural selection; harmful mutations disallow species to pass on their genes and evolve so they die, while useful ones do the countrary. That's why the number of species that get extinct is far bigger than the number of species that survive and evolve eventually.
The best example to prove that useful mutations accumulate over the years and cause a dramatic evolution in the gene pool of a population is Lensky's expirement, but it isn't the only one. Italian Wall Lizards evolved in a dramatic way when they were introduced to an island in Croatia where they never existed before, you should read this:

It's all speculation "oh our skulls are kiiinddaaaa similar to apes so we must have been apes -insert a fantasy story of how we evolved and preach in school-

Uh. No. It's science.

Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean it's not backed by literal facts.

So, I suggest you read a book.

Don't bother. He's the same idiot that asked me "Oh and who says these determine life?" when I showed him the 7 characteristics of life.

I'm proved more and more right with every response.

It's almost a catch 22 in and of itself.

Those who don't believe in Evolution disagree with fact. Yet claim to desire proof.

So when provided proof, their disagreement with established fact leads them to disagree with the proof.

Essentially, there's literally no reason to discuss evolution anymore, because those who believe in it simply understand fact, while those who don't, by definition, will not accept fact as fact.

Exactly.

Interesting fact: Originally, all humans had brown eyes, but because of mutations, we have green, grey and blue eyes today. Also.. all people who possess blue eyes have a single, common ancestor who experienced this mutation first. And over time, he/she passed this down from generation to generation.
And today, we have so many different, beautiful eyes which can be very useful in terms of feeling if a person is attractive for example.

You know nothing of evolution, son.

dude I know as much as I need to assuage myself with the up breeding lust of knowledge that evolution kind of thing doesn't exist if it did I would have seen a green creature with skin of iron piercing through our atmosphere asking us to surrender this planet ;P
