Who did more for their Country? Minato or Itachi?

Sasuke didn't want to slaughter everyone in the village, he just wanted to take revenge on the elders and especially Danzo.

Again, if itachi "did" so much more than Minato, let me ask you something.
This plan of itachi how well did it work XD? correct me if i am wrong, those dead uchiha's who has their eyes in storage readying to be used? oh wait, its Tobi lol so much for itachi doing more for the village? he just fueled the bad guy with "eyes" to be used. Did sasuke not just killed a hokage and now trying to destory Kohanna....Nices job protecting the leaf Itachi. but flip the scrip, even if it is the duty of a hokage to protect his village well matters not. Minato still save all the uchiha's and the "future" giving his life. If he did not give Naruto the kyuuby think of all the things that would have went wrong....... Itachi plan was only for a Village, Minato's plan was for the "future" remember tobi wants to rule the world.

Itachi because it was on way more of a personal level, and than to continue to serve his country after killing his family, lover, friends etc. And than wanted his brother to make the uchiha name great again. Yes what minato did was great, but he died and didn't give as much time to the leaf if you understand what i mean..

Any plan involving genocide is just instant FAIL.....He turned the only person he cared about evil and has now made him a target for the village he was supposed to save,and as we've seen tobi he didnt stop tobi from doing anything and he definitely didnt stop a war he kinda egged it on by helping tobi...if he were noble he wouldve died trying to take tobi out

Both of them did as much to Konoha.It will be pointless creating such a debate.The question should be "What will each of them have done if their roles were inversed?" i e Itachi being Yondaime and having to defend konoha and Minaato being an anbu agent asked to slaughter his clan inorder to save konoha

and yes itachi did stop tobi from attacking the leaf and made a deal so tobi will never touch the leaf,
and yeah he prevent the war, itachi can easily betray konoha back then and yet he don't do that, instead he betray his clan and put a stop into the uchiha plan and manage to keep peace for the leaf.
shinobi from the past only manage to gain temporary peace such as hashirama, the legendary sannin,minato and itachi, none of them can stop a war they can only delay itU_U

We only know Minato's one act so its hard to say. Assuming that is all he ever did as hokage then Itachi. However, Minato is an inspiration to the village and made a huge impact on everyone around him and those after him. If we think like Shikamaru and Asuma and consider who is the *King* of the village, Minato is the winner here. He created something for all those unborn children to look up to and aspire to.

second, everyone is bringing up irrevelant topic, sasuke wants to kill the village? minato basically saved itachi? none of that matters, what's the worse thing that could happen to the village? it gets destroyed. did not both of them prevent this? and yes itachi did it on more than one occasion, had itachi not killed his clan, they would have attacked, and please people, it would have been way more than a few konoha shinobi getting killed, weak in numbers other countries would have invaded, tobi and itachi understood this, it's also common sense U_U
then he joined the akatsui and stopped them from attacking it, by the time they were ready, so was naruto and was able to give his talk-no jutsu to nagato.
