You missed a crucial step - with most fire jutsu, just having the chakra filled air hit normal air won't cause it to ignite; you have to remember that you still have the ability to manipulate your chakra at a distance - with this, you'll use the nature of fire chakra to cause an actual ignition, or a spark, which will ignite the rest of your chakra.

Everything else you did was absolutely perfect, but you didn't actually use your chakra to ignite the air.

^_^ So, try again, and mention how you use your chakra to create the flame (from here on out, I won't really require this step, as it'll be understood to function in all the fire jutsu, but seeing as this is the first fire jutsu, it's important that you know).

This jutsu requires no handseals, and is fairly simple. ^_^

This jutsu works by simply throwing shuriken at the same moment you breath out fireballs, causing them to become engulfed in flame.

Like all the fire jutsu that work like this, this is handy if you ever find yourself in a situation when your shuriken ever need a bit more kick...but...given that we can infuse shuriken with chakra and throw them without it counting as a move, it's probably already possible to do this already without a jutsu.

Furthermore, there's actually a stronger version of this jutsu (two of them, if I remember correctly), so you'll not be likely to ever use this one.

So, I want you to demonstrate. Throw some shuriken at that tree *points*, and engulf them with fireballs, forming them as you just did previously.

This jutsu works by throwing your shuriken and engulfing them in fire-balls - that is, you fire the fireballs at the same time you're throwing the shuriken.

I said this jutsu could be compared to focusing chakra into your shuriken, not that it worked that way.

^_^ This is practically the same as the very first jutsu we preformed, except you're exhaling one, large fireball, instead of several smaller ones.

This also has the same usefulness and flaws as the first one, as well.

Your descriptions are lack luster...

Good uses for this jutsu are empowering a wind-jutsu without out-right igniting it, or allowing an explosive kunai to have a much bigger blast radius by having it ignite the gas; it could also be used to power-up fire-jutsu.

This jutsu works by infusing the air in your lungs with your chakra and changing it's composition with your chakra, thus creating a flammable gas...I don't care much for the super-chakra-science that deals with the manipulation of the compounds involved, so simply say that you use your chakra to change the chemical composition of your breath, and give the jutsu a try.

This move requires no handseals. Note, to find handseals you'll have to do research on Narutopedia if you want to keep doing it in this method.

Notes about your listed advantage: even though it says so in the description, just being near this jutsu isn't going to make the opponent pass out. It may not even do that if it hit a higher-ranking opponent. There are a lot of fire jutsu out there, and lot of them burn much hotter than this one.

And you listed potential strategy was very good. Using the Black-Clouds is almost always a good strategy with jutsu like this, as it allows their power to be boosted at minimal cost to you.
