Parting clouds is nothing like slicing mountains....The age old Mihawk n Shanks debate
1)Mihawk is WSS n Shanks is Yonko(4strongest Pirate)
There title descriptions doesn't allow us put one over another
2)There duels happened way back n it's safe to assume no result came out as Shanks wouldn't have said u come to fight me(when Mihawk came with Luffy's poster) - Losers don't say that.
3)Most of the title are made by fodders:
World Strongest Slash
God Enel/Ussop
5th Emperor
King Punch
And these are based on rumours that influence major characters n we have seen People carry it even tho they not at there best shape Example: WB.
4)Mihawk sliced a mountain n similar thing Shanks showed when he n WB sliced Heaven. So far they showed similar feats.
I know right.. lolThe age old Mihawk n Shanks debate![]()
What's the difference???Parting clouds is nothing like slicing mountains....
LolI know right.. lol
Only Oda can settle this xd
I'm like 100% sure you could waft through clouds just by making contact with them. Forget being super human. All that's needed is a gust of air, no matter how weak, that goes high. What's the difference???
Lol
Lol thing is he didn't push the clouds. He clearly cut them clean that's why there was a rift. It doesn't matter if it's soft or hard. U need to have good fire power to pull a stunt like that.I'm like 100% sure you could waft through clouds just by making contact with them. Forget being super human. That was a combined attack from WB and Shanks, and I seriously doubt cutting through clouds is all that difficult. Long slash, sure, but that's nothing too special either.Lol thing is he didn't push the clouds. He clearly cut them clean that's why there was a rift. It doesn't matter if it's soft or hard. Now why they are same because
1) distance(it's obvious distance between ship n cloud is more than those Tsunami's)
2) long slash attack was used
3) that attack Showed even with one hand he didn't lose his charm
And u think cutting ice is difficult in One Piece pfff...That was a combined attack from WB and Shanks, and I seriously doubt cutting through clouds is all that difficult. Long slash, sure, but that's nothing too special either.
I was under the impression their haki split the clouds, not a slashThat was a combined attack from WB and Shanks, and I seriously doubt cutting through clouds is all that difficult. Long slash, sure, but that's nothing too special either.
I thought the same... Which is what makes it such an impressive feat, their will's reaching even the heavens!I was under the impression their haki split the clouds, not a slash
ExactlyyyI thought the same... Which is what makes it such an impressive feat, their will's reaching even the heavens!![]()

I don't think either should register as impressive for the two, but I place Mihawk's feat higher because ice > clouds and he did it alone AND 100% casually. We've already seen that making haki shriek far off isn't all that difficult anyhow, the only real task would be getting nothing more than a gust of air to touch the clouds.I thought the same... As I said above both were same.I don't think either should register as impressive for the two, but I place Mihawk's feat higher because ice > clouds and he did it alone AND 100% casually. I presume two forces displaying equal power and therefore the power only has one way to go, > ^ <. The was just a simple clash for these two, it's a lot more impressive that Minato is crediting them for.As I said above both were same.
You are underestimating clouds density as we have seen people live in those clouds or at least they are as much solid as ice(maybe even stronger)
We saw guys like Monk n Kaido can walk on it in random sky island.
Let's not forget the reaction where someone thought it was declaration of war. So it was a similar fear.
Don't know how Haki can split clouds tho without damaging Shanks n WB's ship -_-
Odds are a sky island wasn't above them, so the clouds could have been regular. Though I've got to agree with you on this one. It's pretty likely that clouds are generally firmer in One Piece. The assumption goes well with Doffy's ability to latch onto them so often. As I said above both were same.

In my entire life, this is the worst logic I've seen used in a serious manner.I presume two forces displaying equal power and therefore the power only has one way to go, > ^ <. The was just a simple clash for these two, it's a lot more impressive that MinaMOto is crediting them for.
How so? if two opposing energies are being exerted in opposite directions equally ><, thaen where is the energy going to go? They don't want the ship to get wrecked and therefore they go up >^<. Makes perfect sense. I did GCSE physics, sooo....Odds are a sky island wasn't above them, so the clouds could have been regular. Though I've got to agree with you on this one. I'd assume it could also go down and strike the ship. Yeh, you said they wouldn't want that, but that comment seemed to be centered on the flow itself with no indication of intervention. I'm even willing to double down and say that there would be no way Shanks and WB could redirect the resulting force from their collusion. That'd be to say Luffy or Doffy could've harnessed the airs they sent striking through Dressrosa. How so? if two opposing energies are being exerted in opposite directions equally ><, thaen where is the energy going to go? Yup clouds in OP is different then real world. I m not saying there was a sky island but the way things are presented clouds are quite dense n the reaction of the crew itself was similar to the reaction what Mihawk did when he cut the Tsunami mountain.Odds are a sky island wasn't above them, so the clouds could have been regular. Though I've got to agree with you on this one. It's pretty likely that clouds are generally firmer in One Piece. The assumption goes well with Doffy's ability to latch onto them so often.
Lol if it was Conqueror Haki it would have destroyed ships as Shanks Haki was strong enough to start breaking the ship add WB's- ship would have destroyed.I presume two forces displaying equal power and therefore the power only has one way to go, > ^ <.
