I'm not sure... I can't picture any jutsu being materialized without chakra. Not saying it doesn't require chakra, but even FTG pulls the user through space using chakra present in the user and possibly the seal, the same with the summoning jutsu.

Take this scene. Minato summons gerotora unlike most summonings we've seen. He summons him at a distance of a few feet in the air. However, he still has to raise his hand, most likely to send his chakra to the spot in which he wants to summon. I would imaging Kamui works in almost the reverse. IMO kakashi's eye sends chakra to the point they are looking at, and then opens a s/t barrier of sorts on the target.
Well, we have proof of course that the technique requires the use of chakra. A lot of it, for that matter. But all S/T jutsus weve seen have an element of teleportation, which isnt requiring anything to travel in the normal sense, but rather appear. When Minato uses FTG, he doesnt actually travel, but rather just teleports or appears on or around his marked kunai. It doesnt seem as if any chakra is "sent" anywhere

Well yes, clearly the warp is influenced directly by the focus of the MS. It doesnt change that it appears as if kamui materializes directly on the point of focus, if you were trying to say otherwise

And how do you think the chakra that forms the barrier gets there in the first place? you think it magically appears on the area? He sends the chakra to the spot he focuses on an the barrier starts forming..

With summoning jutsu, the user uses chakra in the palm of their hand on a specific spot, that initializes the s/t jutsu

same with Minato's ability, which is just a reverse summoning.. the seals themselves are embedded with his chakra .... he already hass the chakra in them, and reverse teleports to the spot..

The difference is that one is a S/T technique, which has aspects of teleportation. Teleportation isnt travel, in the normal sense. It is causing something from one spot to appear in another, without travel

I personally feel as if Itachi's weapons match his personality and fighting style better than sasukes, and visa versa, I think he should keep his Enton blade and enton magatamas.

I don't think so.

When Itachi did that we initially thought it was just a display of his affection to his little brother, but it turns out he implanted the Amaterasu in Sasuke's eyes.

I think the same thing happened here, when Itachi patted Sasuke's head, he transferred or unlocked the Totsuka Blade and Yata Mirror in Sasuke's EMS, Itachi as we know is a long term planner, knowing that it's a dangerous time Sasuke is living in I doubt he would not have given him the sword and the shield to better protect him from the dangers of the war, not to mention that he already trusted Sasuke before he departed to the afterlife. Plus, I doubt Kishimoto would simply let the Totsuka and Yata be disposed of in the plot.

Picture for a minute, that the kamui dimension is the real world. Now picture that Kakashi's version of kamui is just like a summoning jutsu for the kamui dimension. All summoning jutsu require a seal to be placed, which essentially pulls a summon or animal through a s/t void to the location of the seal.

The seals are obviously formed by chakra, and without the chakra being placed on the ground or target, then the summoning jutsu can't work. Summoning jutsus don't form anywhere other than on the seal placed, so by that logic i assume that kamui works in the same way, but placing an imaginary "seal" on the target to open the s/t void to the kamui dimension.

I mean thats a nice theory and all, but not much behind it to prove it. Thats a problem with Naruto, the mechanics behind most of the jutsu arent thoroughly explained. The same can be argued for Amaterasu, which seems to have similar functions to kamui. Both are said to materialize on the target at the focus of the eye. Meaning neither are projectiles, meaning there shouldnt be anything for the Yata Mirror to block

I added more info to my post before you replied...

all s/t abilities in the manga thus far utilized the initial usage of chakra obviously, Minato can only teleport to specific location that his chakra is at (the seals), he can't just teleport anywhere, unless he applies movement to his chakra (ftg v2 etc)

I mean thats a nice theory and all, but not much behind it to prove it.

Theory? Minato's seals being made of chakra isn't a theory, it's fact..

Exactly. Haha. There is a lot that is unexplained in detail.

I think you guys are making a bit of a mistake comparing those aspects of summoning and hiriashin jutsus to MS sharingan jutsus. There is no seal required for Amaterasu or kamui to be formed that we know of. They materialize at the point of focus, i believe that is stated in the databooks. If the chakra was "sent," then it would be a projectile yes? But no, it is stated to materialize on the user

This could go ether way. We will just have to do as Derp suggested and see if sasuke's sussano is now equipped with it.

Thank you for believing in me, before, the Sasuke Fanboys in NF were all saying that Sasuke was going to read the Naka Tablet and get a powerup, I told them that won't be necessary since the Naka Tablet was only used to unseal the Shiki Fuujin, they scoffed and rebuked me, a few chapters later they were proven wrong, Sasuke didn't read the Tablet. Lol

Neither was stated in the databook, Not that it matters, that doesn't relate to my argument.. Kamui very well does appear on the focused spot, the CHAKRA that's used to initialize it doesn't , as that would mean that utilizing chakra in itself follows space time principles... this mind you, is before the space time jutsu is even cast.. this is like saying minato would be able to focus on a spot, make his seal, then teleport to it

Im just talking about personality matching aesthetics and functionality, I think sasuke matches the more destructive and dark look, while itachi matches his shielded guardian look.

You asked "wouldn't you like it to live up the the hype" or something similar so I used a completely opinionated response to that question.

But Sasuke is now trying to protect Konoha, which makes the shield and guardian aesthetic fit his Susanoo perfectly.

You realize that kamui and FTG/summoning jutsu dont function the same way, yes? Minato himself said kamui surpassed his and the 2nd Hokage's S/T because seals or marks werent necessary. The functions of the jutsu arent explained, but what we do know is that the flames of Amaterasu materialize on the target, as well as the warping of kamui. For all we know the chakra itself is teleported to where the point of focus is cast. FTG is not kamui, i dont see where the constant comparisons hold much merit

True, but he's never been the guardian type. Though now that I think about it, if anything was to block a TTBB, I'm sure the yata mirror would have the best chances, so maybe.

Still not understanding that' i'm not talking about the mechanics of the jutsu themselves, but the principle behind them, which is the chakra... I'm talking about before the jutsu is even CAST, You're assuming that somehow, just because they have sharingan, they can make chakra itself appear at certain places, THEN activate the SPACE TIME jutsu, Then cause the thing to materialize... all in all it makes no sense... The chakra sent by genjusu is sent in a path, Yamanaka's? send their chakra to you in a path to use their mind body disturbance.....Why are you assuming kakashi somehow makes his chakra appear in the spot? this is before any space time ability is even cast, this is the manipulation of chakra we're talking about here

Why have you not brought the databook into this yet?

It implies that kamui is cast on a target, just like ama
