My left hand quickly goes numb and I let it drop to my side and hang there as I take my previous position from him. "So this next technique is quite underused and that is because of how situational it is. So you weave a few hand seals and clasp your hands together while near a cliff causing electrical energy to dislodge some stone and rocks and cause them to fall downhill. Now take note of what it describes. You need to be performing this up on a mountain and your opponent must be below you as it is not the raiton chakra that carries the rocks but simply the natural forces of gravity." I slam my hands on the ground causing a rocky earthen mound to rise up a few meters from my position. "I want you to go to the top of that mound and use this technique to dislodge the rocks and cause them to move downhill. Once done I want you to tell me a special characteristic about the rocks that have moved downhill after you use the technique. Are they infused with chakra?"

Descripton: By forming hand seals Snake → Upside down Tiger → Hands clapped together when near a cliff , the user causes stone and rock to become dislodged and rain down on anyone below it by releasing a wave of electrical energy which weakens the rock and makes it fall as it crumbles. However, this is extremely location-based and needs to be done uphill of a mountain for it to work.

Essen feels that his chakra has left into the rocks as they head down, but not infused with chakra. screaming as the rocks head toward his sensei "...the rocks aren't infused with my chakra but implanted with it!"

"You're not necessarily wrong. I just didn't understand what you meant by implant. Well in this case it seems you mean the same thing by infuse and implant. Well just to clarify on this the rocks are not infused with chakra. What does that mean? It means that you can counter the rock with other techniques outside of elemental strengths and weaknesses as long as they are appropriate to size and shape. In this case the lightning chakra only dislodges the rocks. From there gravity takes its course and takes hold and simply drops the rocks on the target. The lightning plays no role in that part of the jutsu. Does that make sense?"

"These pillars ahead will be your target for this next technique. This particular technique will allow you to strike the target quickly with bolts of lightning. This kind of technique relies on bolts which are classified as projectiles. I want you to attack those two pillars and then tell me what happens to each bolt. Remember, for this specific example you are simply releasing two bolts. However this technique allows you to release even more than that. Can you tell me what happens when you release more than one bolt?"

Essen pays respect as he runs toward his Sensei's calling and quickly, sudden after the clapping of his sensei; pillars appearing from behind him and his sensei.-Sensei's speech- Essen as he see's the three pillars in the form of a triangle, he runs into the center performing the jutsu as raises his hand, it begins to light up in a yellow form of electricity. As this happens Essen closes his eyes to performing a static three lights form his palm as they head toward all three directions of the pillars paralyzing them with volts.

I want you to try that again. Pay close attention to what I said. I didn't create three pillars I merely created two. Although that isn't the main issue. In this case lightning bolts are projectiles which have destructive capability. They aren't currents. Being hit by them will pierce the skin or in this case pierce the earth.

IC: Essen retries the scenario again as he had failed to utilize the fullness of the content given unto to him, *sigh* "Alright!" racing toward the two pillars Essen performs the jutsu as he puts his hand in front of him streaming his chakra into the raiton as it glows pale yellow turning to similar to a horn made out of lightening, Essen releases more chakra into the jutsu as it's quickly launched it splits into two ATTACKS! It heads for the two pillars.

In this case the pillars were within range of the technique which is noted by the range note in it. This particular technique can reach up to mid-range from the user...so 10 meters. So that means in this case you can stand in your current position and certainly launch the lightning bolt from your hand to strike the two pillars. Now, onto the next part of this lesson. This is very important to pay close attention. This mistake has probably cost hundreds their lives. Attacks that can be split into multiple attacks weaken. So, lets say you have this technique. You have a C-Rank lightning technique. Should you strike one pillar with one bolt then you are striking it with a C-Rank lightning bolt. But what about 2 pillars and 2 bolts? If you use one bolt per pillar meaning you produce two lightning bolts you are then instead creating 2 D-Rank bolts of lightning. In essence they both add up back to C-Rank meaning that when combined back to their normal amount are equal to the techniques normal strength should you have just released one. So this gives you a lot...and I mean A LOT...of versatility with how you can use them. So, how about a little quiz on this lesson. Well that's easy; If two "D" rank jutsu can equal to one C rank then it's a 2 lower Jutsu to 1 Higher Jutsu ratio, now unto the question: A-rank is equal to 4 "C" rank jutsu then all 4 Bolts of lightning are C's. Using logic. XD.

Estimating I would say it's 5 "C" rank jutsus that aren't stronger than one normal "C" rank jutsu. If no estimation then it's 5 "D" rank Jutsu that are a bit stronger than normal "D" ranks. XD

"Very good Essen. Glad you understand that concept well. Always keep it in mind when splitting projectiles. It can be the most useful and versatile weapon at your disposal at times. Moving along..." I say as I toss Essen my longsword beneath my cloak. "Take good care of that sword during the training. This is the first specific type raiton technique where you actually will channel raiton chakra into a sword and then perform the technique. As you know raiton is notoriously used to increase the cutting power of a weapon and in this case it is most commonly seen with a sword. So, lets see you try. I want you to begin by channeling raiton chakra into my longsword. Then, release the sword from your hands and continue focusing on the sword with your raiton chakra in order to levitate it in front of you. Once that is done you'll actually produce two physical copies of the blade by further use of your raiton chakra which then you'll apply careful shape manipulation to cause the blades to spin rapidly and allow them to fly toward your target to slice them up! Keep in mind once you let the sword go you'll control the three swords, once you create the two extra copies, with hand motions. You can't use other techniques while you use this one as this requires you, like many other streams, to keep focusing chakra into it. Try it out on that tree 10 meters from us!"
