Hi. Okay, so we're going to get started and in this training, my sempai Ares may drop in and out with information and taking over for a while. Afterwards, once we get to the more difficult ones, we will do a bit of rp training for the S ranks. This is just to make training more fun and less static as it may become eventually. Good. Let's begin. First, I want you to give me your definition of chakra, a ninja, ninjutsu, elemental ninjutsu, Raiton ninjutsu, it's uses, what some advantages/disadvantages of using lightning release are and last but most important, why did you want to learn lightning release?

Alright, now that I have time: Chakra is used to for techniques and important for every ninja. This chakra is known also as life force, coming from the body energy and mental/ spiritual energy which can be gained from exercise and experience. To perform a jutsu, the ninja will bring out and release these two energies. Those will be the amount of chakra required for a technique will vary depending upon its size and complexity. A ninja is to "steal away" more like to given advantage to those you acknowledge. In easy terms I think it's to have power over another.
Ninjutsu is just another form of mixing two categories: Ninja + jutsu. Ninjutsu is the most importance to any ninja and Ninjutsu normally requires hand seals for most and some to form. The elemental ninjutsu is utilizing the Element to form a Ninjutsu technique.
Raiton ninjutsu is an lightning based jutsu technique. The disadvantages of lightning release are: weak against wind element ninjutsu. Advantages of lightning release are: Strong against earth element ninjutsu. Lightning release is one of the elements that suit me best and quite useful in daily-like combat issues I might comfort, sensei.

Very good, your answers were a bit shabby but nothing too serious. Lightning is a vicious and powerful element. In the Narutoverse, it is one of the fastest elements that exist. With lightning and electricity, the molecules in the element move at such a high velocity they are so powerful and hard to control and that instability is reflected upon in the in the use of the element. In Raiton techniques, there is always some level of discharge showing the lightning’s rebellious and difficult to control nature. The speed generated by lightning doesn't only increase its instability but it can also increase properties such as sharpness. The radip flow of molecules being condensed to vibrate at high frequencies and speed allow for applications on bladed weapons. Take Sasuke's use of lightning with his katana, or Ameyuri Ringo, one of the seven swordsmen of the mist with her blades, Kiba. Lighting is added to those blades which increases their ability to slice through almost anything like butter. Though this isn't the only practical use for lightning, there is also the properties of electrocution. The amount of electricity a lightning technique possesses can cause so much damage from paralyzing one's opponent to completely overloading their bodies with electricity and killing instantly. Some cases (as suspected with Kirin though never proven), the complete obliteration of one's opponent. Not only electrocution but heat. One generally thinks of Fire when the word heat is brought up, however why is that? Higher energy is generated when molecules move more rapidly. As mentioned before, those within lightning and electricity move at great speeds, thus allowing for burns to be generated with lightning release as well, however that's not commonly thought of.
Now, Lightning jutsu can be summed up into 5 fields, done by fellow Mods and Senseis Scorps and Reborn and ex-sensei Lili-Chawn.
Method 1: Bolts/Projectiles
Alright, this first method fairly simple. Projectiles, just like kunai and shuriken, projectiles are weapons that leave you and travel towards your opponent. The power of the projectiles depends on the amount of force you implement in it. For example if you launch a kunai using with half your energy, it won't have as much speed and power as it would if you launched it with all your energy. That's somewhat what the concept is in parallel to rank. A D-ranked projectile technique is not as strong as a C-ranked because it doesn't have as much chakra and energy thrown into it. Now with that said we go onto to the element itself. With lightning projectiles you first:
~Gather a fixed amount you raiton chakra into the point of release (hands, feet, etc, etc)
~Condense it using shape manipulation to give it shape and focus all the chakra you gathered into the single manifestation
~Release it in the desired direction towards your target.
Now in the case where you produce multiple lightning projectiles you would follow these steps
~Gather a fixed amount of your raiton chakra into the point of release
~Condense it using shape manipulation to give it shape
~Divide the chakra equally among the projectiles you are releasing allowing you to release them in close proximities (near instantly after one another)
~Then release.
The reason for this is, in the RP, when you release multiple projectiles using one jutsu, the equivalent of those individual techniques is the rank of the jutsu you release.

*note not a real technique* But with this technique it says you release multiple projectiles that could be like 5 projectiles. Are all those projectiles A-rank? No, the sum of their energy is A-rank. If they were all A-rank that would mean you used five techniques. So what you do is, you divide the chakra and the sum of the five projectiles launched is A-rank. What does this mean? It means you can take advantage and destroy individual projectiles more easily. Say your opponent uses this technique and you do as well. If he launches 5 projectiles and you launch one, Your 1=Their 5 collective, thus meaning your 1>their 1 or their 2, or 3. You can destroy some of their projectiles and have it continue towards them. However in that case, they still have other projectiles coming towards you so it's like a double edged sword.
Method 2: Currents/Wide Spread
The techniques in this next method all adhere to constant waves or currents of lightning, meaning you're constantly placing chakra into the technique as opposed to projectiles where you gather all your chakra and then release it all in one/several condensed shots. This is where the element gets into the real conductive nature of Lightning. In gathering your chakra for these techniques you will start like you would any other technique, you gather the fixed amount of chakra in the point of release. However, instead of releasing it in a confined condensed projectile you release a constant flow of lightning from the point of release and, generally through a medium like the ground, a weapon, or an object. You will not be releasing your chakra all at once, it will be flowing out of you from the point of release in a steady manor until the chakra you've built up for the technique is gone. Since you're focusing less on condensing the chakra and more on spreading it out to cover a wider range, this takes away from force and piercing ability and you get more of the electrocution properties. The techniques in this method are more so designed to have that stunning and overloading the body with lightning.
Method 3: Melee
My favorite method to explain. Chidori and its variants like Negashi and spear, etc. Explaining Chidori will basically outline the rest. This is simply another shape+nature manipulation technique. Channel the raiton chakra in your hand; concentrate it so that the vibrations are so much so that they create the sound of chirping birds. The high amount of vibrations gives you a tremendous increase in power making the basic chidori technique capable of peircing straight through flesh and bone and even harder substances. Then the variants only have some slight modifications, however they all start with the creation of an initial Chidori in the palm (note: this does not mean you have to use Chidori before you use any of the variants) The modification is generally some general form of shape manipulation or merely an enhancement or sudden release of the built up energy from Chidori.
Method 4: Specifics
This method, like the rest of the final methods in all the five basic elements, is composed of techniques that have no real direct relationship with one another nor can fit into any of the above categories. They are all unique beyond categorization within this system of training but they possess the basic properties of lightning which would be electrical force/energy and possibly high vibrations for cutting, etc.
Now, I want you to go through the Lightning jutsu list and find an example of each method and give me the advantages and disadvantages of each method. This is to test your knowledge and understanding of the above.

Description: The user increases the range of their Chidori by using form manipulation to extend it into a blade up to 10 meters in length. This blade is capable of splitting into multiple additional blades upon contact with an enemy, drastically increasing the number of wounds it can inflict. Like other Chidori-related techniques, this jutsu will numb its target upon contact but unlike others, seems to focus more on having a cutting power, like a katana, than a piercing one. Because of its cutting abilities, it often seems to manifest a certain "solidity"; a tangible aspect.
Advantages- 10 Meters in length of a Raiton sharp blade, in a flash of light it's capable of splitting into countless blades for extra damage with a numbing effect on contact. No need for handseals!
Disadvantages- Requires still prey or failure. Fallacy in naming for it offers less of a piercing capabilities. Off missing: Paralyzing effects.

(Raiton: Chidori Senbon) - Lightning Release: One Thousand Birds Needle

Damage Points: 60
Description: The user reshapes the Chidori in their hand into the form of countless senbon which are shot with a simple hand movement towards the target. The senbons are extremely precise and have the same numbing and paralyzing effects as Chidori, carrying enormous speed. Because the technique requires no handseals and is done with simple hand movements, its extremely hard to avoid while in short range and quite dangerous to counter due to the precision attacks it can be used to perform.
Advantages- Coming in countless numbers and with the family package of numbing and paralyzing. No need for handseals!
Disadvantages-As distanced you get the better changes of living, for it requires closed(the jutsu is Short-range best suited) in target for 99% landing. Not an easy jutsu to sue for it requires target skill and precision.

Description: This jutsu allows the user to generate non-focused electricity from their body. It can be used as an omnidirectional attack or be channeled through weapons, the ground or other conductive mediums. Because the electricity isn't focused, it doesn't kill on contact, instead it has great numbing and paralyzing effects. To channel Nagashi through a medium, the user needs to focus the technique into one of his hands which will then be put in contact with the medium and can only choose to either do a widespread attack throughout his whole body or to channel it into something; he cannot achieve both usages at the same time. Despite not having much destructive or damaging properties, Nagashi can be used to destroy low rank earthen and wooden structures and even negate chakra on the ground to stop high ranked earth and wood techniques. It has also been noted that Lightning Specialists that have mastered Lightning to the highest degree can resist total paralyzation, although they still feel the pain and numbing effects.
Note: Paralyzation lasts 1 turn if sucessful but is ineffective against bios who have a primary Lightning Specialty
Advantages- An Omni-directional non-focused paralyzing with a numbing electricity attack: taking effect in every direction of threat. This jutsu gives the option of chose to attack in all directions or focus on one by channeling electricity into the users weapons.
Disadvantages- Doesn't kill or inflict damage at it's disposal.

With each of your replies, I want you to use the jutsu he teaches you alongside another jutsu of the opposing natures (in this case, Wind or Fire Release) in a creative combo and Shady will state whether the combo would work or not and why. This way, you both get practical training in usage of the jutsus and explaining them further. This will make you a better battler, and him a better trainer, so you both win! When you do this, write it in a spoiler like below:

I'd use the D rank (Suiton No Jutsu) - Water technique to create a small pillar of water underneath them if we both stand on water to lift them in the air towards me as i release the B rank ( Katon: Hi no Iki ) - Fire Release: Fire Breath at them as they move towards me. Granted, it's a weak combo, but if the counter with the element I think they would (water in most cases due to elemental weaknesses), i'm able to easily use a water jutsu as well or a more powerful fire jutsu to clash with the water and cause a steam to emit from it, clouding my movements and later, my next jutsu.
Of course, you will use lightning and wind/fire, instead of water and fire. Next my sempai will be posting so good luck with training until we meet later!

For the first one I'd like for you to gather chakra within your body before focusing it into your, preferably dominant hand. Once focused there I'd like for you to release the chakra. On chakra you should use nature manipulation as to generate lighting and shape manipulation as to create a bolt

As you performed first technique I'd like for you once again to focus lighting chakra within your dominant hand. Once there I'd like for you to start moving your palm as you release the chakra. Using nature manipulation once again you'd generate lighting and by using shape manipulation you'd create few bolts.

Essen does a horse stand as the places his hands together gathering chakra from within his body as he focuses all of it into his two hands(Ambidextrous) as Essen does this, sparks of small electricity take form. Essen taking a breath of air, he releases a considerable amount of chakra; manipulating it to fit shape as he focus his chakra, creating a small bolt. Essen focusing the amount of chakra gathered into this jutsu he concretes enough chakra equal on both sides that he can juggle the small lighting bolts.

Taking the same stand before, Essen effortlessly with one hand(left) now he gathers his chakra into the his hand and focuses a lighting chakra into a electrifying form and manipulates the chakra to create the bolts as before but now with one hand.

Using Fire Release: Fire Dragon Flame Missileover head, above the opponent(making them duck) as I lunch myself with chakra from my legs as I'd run quickly as able to, while doing so I perform the jutsu Lightning Release: Thunder Burn as my hand weapon for close battle with the opponent.

Awesome! Not trying to pull-drama, but Role-playing is something I would like to work on as well as training, I guess it's two birds with one stone. I'm planing to role-play this year moreover that means I will be more active to upkeep my training going as long as all goes well XD. So to answer your question: yeah role-playing is how I would like to learn Lightening ninjutsu. I'm learning from a Mod, the coolest mod that has many things running, it would be expected to wait longer for quality training. XD

Essen after receiving the restrictive note, as the note claimed; place and meeting of the new semi-sensei as the previous semi-sensei has be dispatched. Essen heads off into the plain green field of grass as the note decleared; close to the waterfall, a quarter mile from the area. With the time given Essen prepares for the arrival of the unexpected sensei. Out of his bag, Essen testes his accuracy as he aimed for the tree bunks (using his kunais & shurikens on), figs, leafs, etc(except on animals).

Leaping branch to branch toward the training grounds I think of the excitement of a fresh new student to begin training with. This time in the lightning element. One of the first elements I had finished myself long ago. The treeline approached in the distance as I continued my leaps flashing through the trees. At the end an expansive green field could be seen spanning as far as the eye could see. Finally, reaching the end of the trees I see my student Essen in the distance whipping kunai at the trees. He's diligent. I think to myself leaping down on the grass behind him. As he continues whipping the kunai and shuriken at the tree I make my presence known calling out his name. "Greetings Essen! I'll be continuing your instruction in lightning today!" I smile as I speak. "Before we begin I'd like to give you a short refresher on a few topics essential to our understanding of ninjutsu and chakra.
