CJ making is hard, or maybe i just suck at it, my ideas gets declined every damn time...
CJ making isn't that hard. Then again, not everyone is equally as creative. I, for example, used to be able to (and probably still can) come up with several CJs in a few moments off the top of my head. Others need help or take days to think up CJs. It's simply a matter of creativity and overall awareness of what ideas are available.

Because all you submit is sorrow. O_O

Just sayin'.

And I agree with Roku, however, it kind of depends on how many things you have learned. If we take Roku as an example, well, he can submit nearly anything. xd

Not completely true, but almost lol, and yes i love the sorrow jutsus, when i reach kage level, i'll submit some kind of emotion release, or sorrow release.

All my unapproved CJ's

Earth release: Status check = Doton: Sutētasuchekku.
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short/Long
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user gathers chakra in his hands, and slams them onto the ground, and sends small amounts of chakra into the earth. This technique allows the user, to read some information about the target, is he’s preparing for a jutsu, is he’s under the effect of a genjutsu. This move requires no handseals.
Notes:
• Can only be used by ZeroGarra.
• Can only be used three times per battle

Similar tech exists.

Wind release: Breeze of the sorrowing dead = Fuuton: Kanashimi no kaze shinde.
Type: Offensive/Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra cost: 35
Damage points: 70
Description: The user inhales an incredible amount of air, from the area around him, the user will still be able to survive, and uphold consciousness, since this is done very fast, doing so the user almost empties the area, in short range of him, of air. This causes fire jutsus below B-rank, that’s in short range of the user, to die out because of the lack of oxygen. After inhaling the air, the user mixes it with his chakra, and then exhales it. When the air is exhaled, it will be formed as a deformed wall, of unclear human looking creatures, which will be stretching their arms out, like if they wanted to grab the target.
Notes:
• Can only be taught by ZeroGarra
• Can only be used three times per battle

Declined do not resubmit

Fuuton: Kanashimi no hōkō = Wind release: Roar of sorrow.
Rank: A
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 25
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user forms a single handseal, and focuses chakra in his/her neck, the user then screams all he/she is able, and releases the chakra at the same time. This, results in a very high scream, which will interrupt anyone who hears it, in doing handseals, thereby interrupting the jutsu they are doing in that moment.
Notes:
• Can only be taught by ZeroGarra.
• Does not work on jutsus that requires no handseals.
• Can only be used two times per battle.

Similar tech exists, or declined.

Fire release: second summoning fire dragon T'shin the sorrowing = Katon: Dai ni hi ryū T’shin kanashimi shōkan
Type: Offensive
Rank: S
Range: Mid/Long
Chakra cost: 60
Damage points: 90
Description: The user gathers an incredible amount of fire chakra in his gut, then the user performs the handseals, and exhales three giant streams of fire, through a ring made by the thumb and index finger. Two of the streams, (the left and the right one) will take the form of giant dragon arms, with sharp claws. The third, and middle streams, will take the form of a giant dragonhead, these dragon limbs will race at the target with incredible speed. The user is able to make the dragonhead spew a B-ranked fireball, by doing a single handseal, this fireball can only be spewed straight forward.
Notes:
• Can only be used by ZeroGarra.
• Can only be used once per battle.
• This is not a summon, it’s just a fancy name.

Similar techniques exists.

Wind release: Wings of Sorrow = Fuuton: Kanashimi no tsubasa.
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: Self
Chakra cost: 60
Damage points: N/A (5 damage to the user, each turn it’s active)
Description: The user gathers an incredible amount of wind chakra, and surrounds his body with it, resulting in a fine layer, of constantly moving wind chakra, the wind chakra will allow the users body to move swifter, and handseals to be formed faster, and more fluently, thereby decreasing the time it takes to perform handseals. The user can also use the wings to move faster, simply by flapping them like a bird who wants to fly, this makes it harder to turn. Using this jutsu does have a side effect, the wind chakra puts a continuously strain on the users body, damaging the user when it’s used.
Notes:
• Can only be used once per battle.
• This jutsu can stay active for three turns.
• Can only be taught by ZeroGarra.
• This jutsu cannot be used to fly.

Similar tech exists.

Injury movement = Shōgai no ugoki.
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Self
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user focuses his chakra on a place he’s been wounded, and uses the chakra to transport the dead cells to another place in his/her body, then the user takes the cells from that place, and moves them to the injured spot, healing it very fast, this enables the user to choose where his injuries are, but the damage have to be similar, examples, an eye for a nose, a leg for an arm, if the user is killed almost instantly by a wound, like a stab into the heart, this jutsu doesn’t work.
Notes:
• Can only be taught by ZeroGarra.

Requires med ninja training.

Chakra strongbox = Chakra kinko.
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: Self/Short
Chakra cost: 70
Damage points: N/A
Description: By releasing a great amount of chakra into the sky, the user makes a 3x3x3 meter box made of chakra fall from the sky, this happens really fast, the user is able to decide where the box will land, but it can only be in short range of him/her, and it cannot be aimed for an opponent. The box looks like it’s made of glass, and can be seen through, everything can get into the box but it cannot get out, the box is almost unbreakable, and will only be broken by forbidden-rank jutsus or higher.
Notes:
• Can only be taught by ZeroGarra.
• Can only be used two times per battle.
• The box has a floor so digging won’t work.
• Stays on the field until destroyed.

Declined do not resubmit.

Lovers call = Koibito o yobidasu.
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Short/Long
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: N/A
Description: By modifying his/her voice with chakra, this jutsu allows the user to reassemble the loving call of any animal, if used on a summon, this will result in confusion, and it can be used to interrupt a summons attack, if used on a human, this will result in looking very stupid.
Notes:
• Can only be taught by ZeroGarra
• Can only be used two times per battle

Requires sound training.

Fire/Lightning combo: 1000 firebirds = Katon/Raiton 1000 Faiābāzu.
Type: Offensive
Rank: S
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra cost: 50
Damage points: 90
Description: The user focuses an intense amount of fire chakra in his hand, and then channels lightning chakra into the fire, to make a big fireball with a Chidori core. The combo will sound like a thousand birds chipping, and because of the electric outbursts in the Chidori, the fireball will frequently change its shape a little bit, like a thousand birds trying to break out of a rubber ball. The combo can be used as a close combat attack, like the original Chidori, but the user can also throw the combo at his opponent.
Notes:
• Can only be taught by ZeroGarra.
• Can only be used three times per battle.

No Chidori or rasengan variations.

i have the imagination but not the ability to write them and/or restrict them...

See, it's ideas like "Emotion Release" that just...deserve an -smh-, Goro-style :|

How is Emotion, in any way, an Element? I can guarantee that any Sorrow/Emotion technique can be submitted as a CJ and still be approved, granted, you know how to make jutsus in an acceptable way. Take Music Arts for example...did I make it into a CE? No O_O Why? Because it can be done with CJs. Elements that are based on actual Elements and Yin/Yang or things that cannot be done with CJs only are Custom Elements. It's a shame that about 50% of the CEs submitted have absolutely no place in the world of CEs, and I'm not trying to disparage anyone's personal CE. Many of them fit, even if they are subtle changes to an existing element, but that is what makes them Custom Elements no Custom Jutsu...

you first statement classifies you as a veteran, or else i'm just very new, i have no idea what a -smh- Goro style means.

and to the rest, i definetly think you've got something there, an entire style that can be based upon sorrow, but able to be both tai, nin, and genjutsu, brilliant :D. But where do you get some help creating these, because it seems i can't really make CJ's :|

O_O ....................I'm astonished that you didn't realize I was a veteran. I can tell by this notion that you're quite a newbie (not noob >_>'), otherwise, anyone should know who Roku is. It is written *opens NB Holy Book*

In regards to help with CJs, I've never really needed help creating a CJ, so I wouldn't know who to ask. Though, Emperor should be creative enough to help you with formulating CJ ideas. I trained him well enough...

It seems i shall be Pwned by Roku U_U, it is how it must be.

It was Emperor who declined them :(

But since you're the veteran, i'll take your advice and ask him.

Well, then he should be the one you should ask about fixing O_O

Enough about your CJ problems, though. Let's stick to the thread topic O_O
The problem we have with new members today is one that isn't going to disappear quickly without some drastic changes. Firstly, the color scheme of NB could go back to the neon-black style (simply because it looked more appearling) for a little while xd

My next suggestion would be to revive the Konoha Town section. Back when everything was nice and fun, the Konoha Town section was bustling with activity. It seemed unstoppable. Now, there's almost no activity in it. Also, RP was more than just battling left and right. It involved complex social interactions and just normal things that everyone could do. There would be a variety of activities from members hanging out at the Konoha Bar to Bisha, Akira, and I going on an epic expedition to find the fountain of youth xd

Then, of course, there the matter of the Battle Arena RP itself. In the "Golden Age", it pretty much goes without saying that members practically ran the RP and lower-ranked people followed along happily. This time was perfect as it led to great growth and development not only for the RP itself but for newer members observing the role-models so that they had a paragon in which they could one day dream of being like or even surpassing. Part of the downfall is due to more strict moderation in terms of RP, but the problem can also be attributed to the members because now, nobody has the motivation or courage to start anything fun. :| Back then, there were social group wars and covert activities that nobody knew about. Then, things would explode and NB would go into a state of super-epicness in which the RP was suddenly filled with battles all attributed to a massive war. Eventually, the war would end and NB would return to its still fun, peaceful state. If members choose not to push the Role-Playing of NarutoBase forward, it will remain just as it is today.

Lastly, the newer members of today do not show enough promise, which is true. Of course, it is the sensei's job to instill the right teachings and values into future RPers and watch them grow into exceptional members. If there were less new members like there were in my time, however, development would be much easier. But with the amount of new RPers joining every day, stability cannot easily be reached. What NarutoBase needs now is a revolution--one that will change the ways of RP for months and years to come, not literally, but more figuratively. Usually, there needs to be a basis for which change will occur and proprietors, and those would normally be senior members because we understand NarutoBase the best and generally have more wisdom due to learning from past mistakes. I've written a PM to Rei, touching some of these problems, especially the one about the dialogues, i really think that we're missing the "talking" RP here on NB, because it actually is an important part of the RP, without talking it becomes dry battles without meanings, some people have actually created some amazing stories to their bio's, and i for one thinks that it is a complete waste, not to use these stories in some dialogues.

the color scheme change sounds cool, but i don't think the Newb problem will be solved by that :D.

The mods and rules are strict, there's rules for and against everything, that has it's ups and downs, nothing we can do about that really.

As you say we need motivation, if people would look at NB with a more positive and relaxed attitude, it would solve a lot of problems.

The new people don't show promise true, some don't, and they'll end up as flaming material in the chatterbox. But the rest definetly deserves training, and a chance.

That maybe true ZerroG but unfortunately its almost impossible to see who has a bright future and who doesnt. We have like. . . 20 senseis, if that many, and have hundreds of newbies waiting for training. Its hard to tell who has a future and who doesnt. Also i agree that the dialogue is missing. U_U

I agree with you. I swear, I wish me and Seven could make our village FanFiction kick off right now, but I am way too busy with school and wouldn't be fully devoted to it the way that I would want to be. So we all must wait for that.

Then as far as games and stuff, thats easily done. the problem is my fun isn't everyone elses and vice versa. Your always gonna grab a few people though.

I'm motivated, I just dont have the time. :( Damned college classes.

Akiza you are simply the best, if only we could get the RP a little more story like, you know i mean, people have some cool bio's, with some incredible backgrounds, and if we in some way could do a little more dialogue RPG, i would be happy.

Keep up the good work, you've earned your sensei status all the way :D
Me and KT go way back. She was here before me and was my very first battle opponent. She can vouch when I say that NB used to be a much more lighthearted place. Battles were fun because we weren't trying to "pwn noobs" like most people around here like to do, we told stories with our battles. I'll link a battle between Mr. G and Myself as an example. Back in the "glory days" people didnt argue about little battle details as often and wern't afraid to say "I Lose. Good match Rival, lets do it again!"

Like ZeroG mentioned in the first post, I did beleive that training was half the fun. when you trainined with a sensei back then it was detailed and slow, but it really made you feel like you were learning the jutsu. you got a sense of accomplishment to learn a new element, because it took FOREVER to learn. You and your sensei would spen hourse writing back and forth in training threads kicking ass and cracking jokes. is wasnt just...

sensei's and students really talked. students actually wrote in that they screw up a jutsu because it was fun to RP. That's why I say training was fun, because it was part of the RP experience too. Now poeple treat it like a nuisance formalitty that they need to speedthrough to get to the real RP.

The reason Bisha, Elias, Zanji, and other are in the history books is because they had skill along with some slightly powerfull techniques. Most of those techniques weren't any more powerful than sage mode. They knew how to use thier techniques in an artful way. They didnt just spam OP jutsu.

One major difference is that they didnt fight to kill right away. If you look back at the really old battles, there was almost always some form of taijutsu involved. There was tons of movements, weapons usage, damage to both sides, then when the fight reached a climax, then they went for the win.

People didnt know who I was until I started battling. Through my battles I made friends and rivals.
I barely knew Goro when we had this fight. After it, we were buddies. I was still fairly new at this point if I remember correctly. We didnt constantly refer to each other as noobs on the boards. I think that is the biggest problem we are dealing with at the mement. Everyone is so scared to mess up because they will be perma-labeled as a noob. Even now I'm worried about evey move I do because I've been labeled as a "veteran" and I feel I have to keep that title and what poeple believe about it intact.

NB has changed from the way it was in the past, but that is mainly because the people have changed. The senseis dont want to teach because the students dont really want to learn. Now I know you want to know the jutsu, but you guys don't really want to learn. There are a few exceptions to that last statement, but you know it's mostly true. If NB is falling, its because of the people. the system is a result of that.

I was just about to post a long as wall of text until I read that there were a few exceptions to this. Had to delete it all. :D.

But if they do that, why don't you guys just keep them on that first jutsu until they get the point. I try to act as if I am actually doing the jutsu. If you get people that seem like they don't care, they just don't move on from the first jutsu.

That really was, the most epic battle i've ever seen, everybode even Emperor were friendly, and wished you good luck, theres is one difference i'd like to point out though, at the time this battle were fought, you had already mastered all elements, Goro had kaguya, and you had wood and hydrogen, you were incredibly strong, so the thing about the teachings, i must diasagree with, but everything else seems correct, you really had a good time on the old NB.
