OMG,Jiraiya IS stronger than Itachi!

Itachi's mission was to tell the three elders that "i'm alive" he was secretly working for his village he had no intention of killing jiraiya who was protecting his precious village he sacrifised his clan for infact from what we've seen in the manga so far itachi could fight on par with jiraiya he doesn't need kisame to kill jiraiya and to make matter worse itachi had kisame with him. Do you really think jiraiya could take on 4 akatsuki members at the same time??? If itachi had admitted he was stronger than jiraiya then kisame would have insisted itachi kill jiraiya and capture naruto which itachi he never wanted. Genjutsu doesn't work on a sannin? Where did you guys get that frm? Seriously i'd luv to knw where you got that from bcuz oro got caught in a genjutsu and he had prob dispelling it.

i agree i can't see jiraya taking on both jiraya is very powerful(one of the best characters out there too), in top class of shinobi but kisame and itachi are too much. Itachi alone is very much i can't see him beating amaterasu(has a chance since he is sort of fast in sm), tsukiyomi(very unlikely), and sussano(too op with sword of totsuka, yata mirror and yaska magatama for long range).

Not really. Nagato would destroy him so badly that its not even funny, they are on the whole different levels, Itachi would win with some difficulty, Jiraiya has no counter against Amaterasu and Tsukiyomi.

First of all it would've been a Sasuke, Naruto, Jiraiya vs ITachi and Kisame

If ITachi and Jiraiya fought, that would've been plot holes in the story.

If ITachi fought Jiraiya he would need Mangekyou sharingan, and If ITachi used Mangekyou Sharingan, then his eye sight would've deterioated. How would he be able to fight sasuke since he already sick. He would've died fighting him, since he's in bad health.

And if Itachi and Kisame fought Jiraiya, then the whole leaf village would've had to come help or that wouldn't make since if they didn't. And the way Kisame and jiraiya fights, the whole village would easily tell theres a battle since kisame has flashy attacks, and so does Jiraiya. And what do Itachi look like fighting and killing all those people he sacraficed to protect? PLUS if itachi or Kisame killed Jiraiya, right in front of naruto Face, then NAruto would've got mad, and of course he would've turned 9 tailed fox, and that wouldve been the end of everybody.. (since Yamoto wasen't there)

Heres what I don't understand. Where were the Kages whe their jinchuuriki bijuu were getin swooped up like rats to a Hawk. Seeing how strong they are now im sure that they could have killed some or most akatsuki. Kish fought to make the Kages appear in the later chaps.

akatsuki tries to make it sly as possible they try to get the jinchurkis when other strong ppl are not present, they don't try to go and take on a whole village. its hard for kages too always keep track of the jinchurkis and most of the time were not even fully aware of akatskui's intentions until they had their jinchurki stolen.

Correct, Itachi stamina is 2.5, it would have been very dangerous for him to engage in a battle with jiraiya, he would have needed his MS to keep up,which would ruin his plans for sasuke.
They are equals(supported by the databook.),so it all depends on how ready tehya re when they finally fight.

Thanx for making that point. A J man with one of the Highest stamina of the characters, and a Itachi who somewhat limited do to his illness would have lost


Since you want to think criticaly about it, J man was So confident that he he could kill them both. Lets stop thinking about what Itachi real goals were
