Because of Kisame( Under strict orders from Akatsuki), he knew Itachi was stronger than him, plus Itachi knew he had to put a mark to warn Danzo, Kakashi himself couldnt figure out why Itachi didnt kill him.

itachi never had the intent of killing anyone , even the fact that he tried to get Naruto was to distract the akatsuki from his plan
All of this time Itachi was preventing the akatsuki from attacking the konoha, ony after his death pain attacked it
they are equall in class , but the edge goes to itachi , there is too much of Raw uchiha power in it .

Precisely! Just because Itachi said that he couldn't defeat Jiraiya with his life and that even more men (Akatsuki) wouldn't change the outcome doesn't mean that the statement was false, nor does him being a spy only there to warn Konohagakure elite, nor does the fact that he had no specific knowledge of Jiraiya make it so! Therefore, we should believe that statement to be true until proven false absolutely. It's simple, really.

Being in SM woudnt change anything. He would still have to kneel on the ground, write sealing formula etc. Doing something like that while facing Amaterasu is suicide.
I was saying about being immune to genjutsu. There is no basis to say that frogs wouldnt end up being cotrolled just like Manda, considering that taming summons is one of Sharingans special abilities. Even if Itachis normal Sharingan wouldnt be enough to tame Jiraiyas frogs, his MS would more than enough to do it.
Yeah, I know very well that Pain is superior to Itachi. Thing is, if Jiraiya fought all six paths from the very beginning of battle, he would get raped very fast.

yea, jiraiya can beat itachi..its hard to actually say it but its the truth,obviously u can see that none of itachis eye techs will work on jiraiya...tsukuyomi,amaterasu(becuase of his speed and knowledge of it)... jiraiya beats itachi hands down on taijutsu and strength..idk about susanoo tho

oh i'll explain since u think its funy xd...amatersu, if sasuke with out MS can dodge it , what makes u think jiraiya cant =\...and the only reason why he pulled out the scroll thing and sealed the black flames was becuase they were gonna keep burning that building if itachi didnt stop it, if they were in the middle of a field that wouldnt matter..tsukuyomi,hmm hard to saybecause jiraiya isnt good with gen, but if he was in SM it wouldnt matter..and on the note that itachi can control ma and pa is so funny, how can u control a summn that cn do gen jutsu and ninjutsu, the hell they fight like ninja, that was the dumbest thing someone has said..and anyway susanoo, not that hard to get past somthin like that in sm, i would say used black swamp tech..and then try to use brute force..but idk im just sayin, is it still funny now
