Sasuke didn't know that. And he ju st wanted revenge for anything. He was ruthless in his desires,but from my point of you it was understandable. What's important is that after he learned the whole truth from Itachi himself he knew what the right path was...

Sasuke still arrived not understanding his brother. He wanted to become Hokage directly. And unlike understanding everyone like it is supossed to be, he tries to bring everything himself without knowing anything or understanding it. His resolve was good but the way wrong. He tried to kill the Bijuu's which suprised even Hashirama, He tried to force everyone into understanding, but not himself.

The Raikage himself admitted later on that being willing to bow to achieve your goals isn't such a bad thing after all.

Completely different circumstances. Gaara never turned traitor against his village. The fodders in the Chūnin Exams and Lee were within the parameters of the exams. The Sound ninja came looking for trouble and has nothing to do with Suna or Kaze no Kuni, so that's irrelevant. He tried to kill Naruto? No shit, his village attacked Konoha. He was feared by his village, and now he is loved.

Sasuke deserted Konoha, conspired with its enemies and attacked Konoha officials. I'm not ruling out the possibility he becomes Hokage, as small as it is, but you're being rather disingenuous with your counter argument.
