I don't really have a preference to who becomes Hokage. I think though that Naruto knows the history and that Madara, Danzo and Oro all caused problems for the village when they were passed up as Hokage's. I think he will let Sasuke have it while warning him that if he does anything to hurt the village he will have to deal with him.

I kind of see Naruto traveling a lot kind of like Juraiya did, though instead of like a spy he is more of a liaison who tries to keep relations between all of the villages ninja and non ninja going smoothly.

While he does have a few goals in mind, Naruto's reasoning for being Hokage was to be acknowledged by the village and people. He's already completed that. If anything, I see him allowing Sasuke to fullfll his own goal seeing as Naruto's is finished. The only real issue would be morality for Sasuke, what he may consider a needed change others might find extreme. And, if the village would want him leading them.

Gaara and Shikamaru both stated things they want to do WHEN Naruto becomes Hokage, that means that its no longer an "if" its a "when."

Also it would be rather absurd if he went the entire manga saying he would be Hokage and then he didn't, his reasons for being Hokage have changed, originally it was to be recognized, but now he wants to protect his friends.
