Both of them already support the idea of Naruto being Hokage.

Shikamaru wants to be Naruto's advisor (besides he is to lazy to be Hokage).

Kakashi openly stated he would rather not be Hokage and he even went on that he wants to help Naruto when he was talking to Obito.

Naruto has saved many friends this war and has been already acknowledged as a hero during the Pein arc. Both of them will get some kind of title, if anything Naruto will get a title higher than Hokage along with Sasuke and they will run the SA(Shinobi Alliance) after the war. Together.

I totally agree with you but I would rather see a different Hokage. That fights with smarts, If Shikamaru was Hokage I think the village would be safe because he can come up with ways to get the ninjas to fight and counter intruders..because we have seen all kinds of hokages. But we never just had one that was smart. I want Naruto to become Hokage but just not now. I think it will be better if he waits a little longer. I would like Naruto to have his own students that he can teach.

Danzo blackmailed Itachi with the threat of killing his family anyway and Sasuke wouldn't have been spared, Itachi did it so that Danzo would stay away from Sasuke.

Itachi is the reason Sasuke wasn't put to death as well.

While that is an interesting idea, and if there was going to be a part 3 I would agree with you.

But the manga ends this year, there really isn't much story left to tell for something like that to happen.

Danzo was the one who did it. We saw the village never chose that way. Killing Danzo would have been the way how to take revenge for the Uchiha.
