Korra/Asami was ridiculously forced

It seemed like the creators had the idea to this relationship since Szn 3 when the two first reconciled and Mako was estranged for a while there, but didn't have the time to really build up a relationship, and thus had very fleeting moments of FRIENDSHIP, these moments also usually featuring another member of Team Korra. Seriously, the only real moment they had was the flashback episode, WHICH ONCE AGAIN FEATURED THE MAKO - KORRA/ASAMI MOMENTS, and some reconciliation once again, but none of this was ever really romantic. So you come to the last 3 minutes of the final episode, and Asami and Korra go from good friends to suddenly becoming lesbians? What?


I see you wanting to repeat the magic of the final moments of TLA, but for one, you know you can't end it with the kiss, 2. you know you had nothing built up, and 3. They were best friends for a short while before a 3 year time skip, so it's definitely odd.

I don't know, maybe this is just me.

I didn't know I loved my boyfriend like that... But then out of no where we both knew.

Besides they had a different friendship unlike the others, and never fought (save for the slight argument about her father... But they quickly made up)

I really felt a connection between them but never expected they'd get to end up together. I like it. Although Im probably a little biased, I still think the relationship was developed great with underlying friendship finally making them realize they were more than just friends.

Besides, Korra clearly had boy issues of some kind- now we know why.

there were hints but i'm going not going list them as already ihave done it , but they had nick up in their face pretty much that couldn't far as they liked , Janet Varney ( voice of Korra) and Bryan were big fans of this pairing long before the season even aired

Not at all. It was very clear Asami and Korra became very close the last two seasons, Korra only wrote to Asami and not to Mako or Bolin.

Yeah I saw it as a good freindship but I can also see it as a couple so it doesnt really matter to me, pairings arent the focus of the show which was amazing.

Korra had boy issues because the only boy that she liked within the four season had a side piece. It had nothing to do with also liking Asami out of nowhere. If you really want my opinion on the topic (which I'm guessing you did since you came in this thread), the move reeks of desperation and continuity (what I mentioned above). Korra gets rejected from ****, and instead goes for the only character that isn't in a relationship. Great ending right?

I definitely think the entire angle with Mako flopping on getting either Korra or Asami and then not developing another male character that could take the reigns tied their hands behind their backs. Of course, they put themselves in that situation.

Maybe because times are... Say it with me... progressing? I mean why would they also show a guy suffocating someone to death? Kind of bad when the world would rather have kids witness murders than gay pairings right?

While I still have to get used to the concept as a guy of seeing two guys kiss in the future, I can learn to accept it. If this were more prominent when I was a kid (I'm 22 now) this would not have been as difficult. Clapping to the creators of the show for their daring. They will probably be on the 700 club this week being talked about for how "bad" they are.

i love that watching that dude head explode lol, for me i got to grow in a very progressive city in Sweden so its never been really weird to me , i appluad them for taking that step

1.they should of changed the age rating of korra a while back from TV Y7 (meaning 7+) to atleast TV-PG 13 or PG to much romance and violence scenes(cool parts).

2. the ending was too force how did they go from friend to lovers so quickly, their conservations seem friendly they should of paired her with someone else.

i already have kids so don't even go there, my wife and me are teaching our kids to accept eveyone regardless of who they are or who they love, they have a very caring aunt who happens to be in love with a woman and that doesn't them bother whatsoever
