Konoha Tavern - RP General Chat Discussion

[Akisha 1]

Mode in the context of the RP technically specifically refers to

• Atavistic Flame
• Curse Mark
• Dokkodo
• Eight Inner Gates
• Gift of the Hermit Group
• Red Kāma
• Sage Mode
• Seven Heavenly Breaths

Anything else is JUST a state. But the modes are also states too though.

You can absolutely use yin or yang state on any bio you have it on as long as you are a specialist in that field. Those aren't modes, those are fields WITH a mode. Slight difference. TCM doesn't count towards having a mode on your bio. Those are inherent abilities of your eyes.

No.

Modes and States are similar, but they are not the same.

In this case. Modes are things that are a state, but not all states are modes.

A lot of modes include an additional list of skills.

For example

Dokkodo | Atavistic Flame | EIG | Sage Mode

States are techniques which increase more than one stat

Yang State for example
Bushido Mode
Unfettered minds

Thanks. And with that I'm off to buy Yang I guess xD

Good Choice

Good Choice

It's been a struggle picking between the 1213432435 things I want to buy

[Troi]

That was your worry? Lol Yang is universal. Can go on anything but a Ronin no matter what's on your bio.

Its why I saved up to buy multiple things I wanted.. problem is now all my back log of customs are possible and im bursting to post them... the threads really locked at the wrong time for me xD

There's a cannon 7MS sword with explosive tags on it. Closest thing to what you're describing xD

Will you guys stop saying that? That man wants the swagger and aura of a samurai with that sabre. Not being a samurai in this context isn't an option for him. Don't pmo.

Regular blast? I don't think canon swapped deidara would have access to regular blast. Also, i'm not spending money on customs.

Oh! I was literally about to ask what on earth was the inspiration behind that idea. Now I see. Now I get it.

And the blast?

Also, all your bios may be shit, but atleast you're not shit. Period. Like me. Got all the power and none of the skill. I'm like a bulldozer without fuel.

Custom Clay did become available I believe after the revamp. Im not sure if it was confirmed on site or discord though

Thats absolutely fair, excuse me for trying to sell my customs to an AE no one wants to use anymore T-T

Ye, Ink + Samurai would be fun, I got an idea character for that as well xD

Nah don't put yourself down like that.

[Troi]

Oh no its fine. I've made peace with it. Not even sympathy bating atp. Just enjoying the ride lol. I've never been a good battler in my honest opinion. Mid tier at best. I just can never really grasp the logic of it sometimes. Like Bloo said, its all about having fun. And I do so I'm not complaining.

Sorry, was busy being high on caffeine and manga, so let me properly address this here. The *Dual Ability* and Skill Path combinations are similar, but has two distinct outlines. Dual Ability Vessel bios retains their Adv. Ninjutsu and or Mode slot; as like how it is with normal rules. The skills you pick within that line up; are swappable with one canon ability, so I'll use my Iyanna biography as the example.

She currently carries the KG + KG combination, but still retains her mode/AN slot, so I may still have that, but if I decided I wanted Obito's Mangekyou Sharingan; I would have to replace a KG slot on my combination with it, now counting as my canon ability but retaining my other KG and Mode/AN slot. What was confusing is that it was originally intended on only being an Adv. Ninjutsu slot, but we decided afterwards that modes will remain in play for the sake of making sure no one's builds are directly affected by Vessel System rulings.

Kooljay was informed of the lack of a mode slot prior to us shifting the rules around, and not realizing I didn't get back to him to inform of this change. So in his instance, he now would want Saskue's EMS (Canon/KG) + Mysterious Peacock Method (HA) + Sage Mode, this is valid.

However what he originally got approved was the Skill Path variant, which allows a custom Vessel bio to instead carry two Canon Abilities, i.e Sasuke's EMS + Raikage Armor + AN slot. This variant of choice does not allow for the Modes, aka the one's mentioned in the threads (Atavistic Flames, Curse Mark etc) to be chosen, but a Canon specific mode like Wood Sage Mode which is unique to Hashirama to be selected.

I hope this clears up any miscommunication on this moving forward, I will adjust the thread to mention Dual Ability bios still retain the slots to avoid any further confusion.

Correction: L will add it in (Cant edit the thread maself, lolz)

This summarized it quite well.
