Crime would be at an all-time low if I just killed everyone in the world, wouldn't it?

No. I know it's justifiable, but until I know why, I can't take any action to prevent it from happening again.

1. That's what Obito was prepared to do. And you say it's justifiable. He was prepared to wipe out NV.

2. More people are dismayed from going to prison than the death penalty. Death penalty only happens to the most severe crimes.

You keep using hyperboles, jumping to extremes. First off, prisons protect people from the criminals that inhabit hem. Second, they make people not want to commit crimes. Just because one person is reformed, doesn't mean another won't jump to do exactly what they did, just with different motivations. You'd do well to remember that.

Everyone can be reformed though. Honestly, you are bringing up a lot of things that I haven't addressed in my mind yet. I don't see myself changing the way the world works. I just want to get to as many people as I can.

Not everyone, people like sociopaths can't ever be reformed, it's psychologically impossible, though they can be dissuaded. Also, as I said, the reason for prisons is first, to protect others, second, to dissuade people from committing crimes and hurting other, and third, because the same method doesn't work on everyone, people commit crimes for different reasons. Honestly, it's great you want to gather people to change the world, I personally want to and intend to change it myself, but, to change the world, you must first understand how it and its people work.

@Bold. That is so not true. There have been countless incidents where prisoners pretended to be reformed only to commit the same crimes again or chose not to be.

Not everyone wants to change just to follow someone elses ideals or understand another. Some people only care about themselves and what they want.....like Caligula for one as an example.

I should have said it there, but I have said previously that people with severe mental conditions would be exceptions to this. And I do understand those things. I've spent the last 4.5 months alone thinking about them. 24/7. Anyway, I think I've reached my limit here. I am a little exhausted, I feel dejected because I don't think I got through to anyone, and now I'm being passive aggressive about it. I'm sorry though :( I really am.

Ehh, I get your sympathizing but justifying a criminals actions isn't being open-minded like Naruto. Its skewers your better judgement. The first step to helping a criminal of any kind in this case mass murder they need to know what they did is wrong. I feel for them but, they let their tragedy fuel their bad actions. I want you to admit that a crime is a crime, a understanding perspective is kind but not to the point were criminals can't recieve punishment. Or take responsibility for the crime.

Don't be dejected, you and I are alike, I don't think many people see the good in the world, in each other, or in themselves. I truly believe there is good in everyone and that people must be shown that, and that through love and understanding, we can truly make this world a better place. For the goal of spreading that message, I'd give my very life, so, I understand how you feel. However, I simply do not condone everyone's actions, if there is no morality, what would be the point in showing people the good in themselves, in trying to spread peace and understanding?

No one is worthy or has the right to choose wether someone is worthy of redemption or not and who needs to die and who doesn't. No one has the right.

Society does. If you choose to live within a group, you are bound to follow the same rules as everyone else.

well considering, Obito had his d**k in every major fk up of Narutoverse i'm not so sure.

i'm a big Obito fan but honestly when Tobi wasn't revealed to be Obito, during the Minato and Kushina death scene i was cursing the masked man, same with Asuma and Jiraya's deaths.
So its kinda bittersweet situation where i feel pity for kid Obito's miserable life and compare it with the fk ups caused by him.

But according to manga he has already been redeemed and went to heaven with Rin, even Hagoromo wanted to talk to him. So it doesn't matter what we think, Kishi forgave him.

No, he's not worthy of it. Primarily because he did many things outside of Madara's plan (which he was manipulated into doing).

A prime example is the Kyuubi attack. There was absolutely no need to stay after obtaining Kurama. If he were smart, he would have left as soon as he got a hold of him. Instead, he destroyed Konoha for the lols and tried to kill Kushina. The Kyuubi attack led to the Uchiha-Kyuubi suspician, which led to the coup idea, which led to the Uchiha massacre. Countless people died for literally no reason other than Obito wanting to have fun. None of those deaths had anything to do with carrying out IT.

He's not the coolest guy ever. Nor does he deserve redemption. Many things he did were stupid and selfish.

I think everyone deserves redemption as long as they're willing to repent and have genuinely seen the error of their ways.

The price of redemption, however, measures differently to each individual. Some men could only be redeemed through death/sacrifice, like Obito.

To a truly redeemed person, living with the burden of their past sins would be much more painful than death.
