He created akatsuki and created the zetsu army

While during his life he committed heinous crimes against humanity. When he died he got the redemption he deserved, he was manipulated to a T. The guy suffered and Naruto holding resentment to him would've done nothing. I don't like Obito but at least he died helping any way he could.

As long as rational thought can be had in a person, then no one is beyond redemption.

The question who would forgive him? In the real world thru His son being sacrificed he can be only redeemed in the eyes of God if he repents (agrees with the Lord and understands he deserves death for his sin).

I've since I was a kid loved in movies or shows or games where the villain realizes the depths of which he has done and tried to make amends (almost always dies trying). In this fictional case Obito was corrupted from an early age and was fed lie after lie after lie, and you can see he wanted to try and prove is ideology right, and when he was challenged he started to see.

Really what more do you want.

Obito saved mankind from kaguya revival and BZ. BZ would make it happen down the road anyway.

In fact its a huge luck whole kaguya revival happened while he's alive. W/o his kamui sage's power up was proved not to be enough.

Obito gets points for uniting nations in doing something to brake whole hatred cycle, him being good guy behind the mask and ultimately facing evil makes him a hero.

The kages were responsible for forming the alliance. Giving Obito credit for that is like saying Darth Sideous created the rebellion, or that Hitler is to thank for the post WW2 era.

Obito is to blame for unleashing the Juubi and helping Madara in the first place, which in turn brought Kaguya.Obito already knew better about Madara but changed everything because of one person's death. Other shinobi have lost dozens of comrades and they have had more resolve.

Obito didn't unite anything. Again, this means any villain can be thanked because others had to band together to defeat them. Are you really saying there was no other way for the entire shinobi world to be saved than for Obito to start a war ?
