She had her family issues and wanting to become stronger but Kishi dropped that completely and had her stay a chunin.

So you admit your NaruSaku side lost for thats the only reason you responded to the facts of canon in the Manga. Theirs not going to be a Sakura movie or a Sasuke movie by Kishi and His group,But their will be More Naruto,Hinata,Boruto and even Himawari Movies with the last name being Uzumaki.

Perhaps the gaiden would would have a chance to make sense of the shitty romantic relationship between her and Naruto. Though its to late the damage has been done. He already tried and failed with the not the last naruto movie anymore movie.

But hinata herself isn't interesting enough to warrant a gaiden in my opinion. Her whole character revolves around Naruto. Outside of naruto there isn't much of a character.
