She care enough to fought her way up to the point that people will respect her. She care enough to step in vs Pain while no one else dare to, just to save her love and hope to save her village too. Fact Hinata had more fights against Konoha enemies over Sakura in part one were Sakura only had one fight in the Chuning Exam. Sakura spend part one doing Nothing all the fighting were done by Naruto and Sasuke and thats the facts Jack.

Who else did Hinata fight other than Neji in Part 1 ?
Part 1 Sakura sucks....but she had a small fight scene with the Sound Genin team as well as Ino.
Shippuden Sakura improves greatly, Helped Defeat an Akatsuki member, Helped (a bit) defeat the awful Goddess, Saved Naruto and Hinata's lives multiple times.

With the diffence being that one has a successful love life with the guy she is obsessed with and the other one doesn't.

You're right, as a main character...it's disgraceful for Sakura...but don't use that as an excuse to say that Hinata's any better.

But I'll say this: power-wise Hinata is a complete loser compared to Sakura. She is still a chunin after making it her goal to never give up on becoming stronger. While Sakura only half-failed at that goal.
