One thing to make note of is the nature of IT. It draws upon whoever's caught in it's subconscious desires, even if they are selfish. So, what's reflected in IT may not necessarily be what the victim's ideal world would be if they were to consciously imagine their dream world.

But, the fact that everyone was happier in the dream, getting to be with the people they loved whether or not they were still alive, would say that the IT was right, and that, like I said, people just didn't know what's best for them. Not to mention, far more people died from the wars of the Narutoverse than they did from Madara or Obito's plans, not to mention they revived everyone they killed anyway.

Imagine how mad you would be if they got to the end of Naruto and you found out that everything that happened was just a dream. Kakashi said that he doesn't want to live in a world with all the fakes and replicas. He wants to live in a world with the real Obito. That's how I feel.
