I honestly don't care if he was praised for being the strongest kage the fact is he didn't show any feats to earn him that tittle just hype after hype.

Not only that there is the excuse of his age being why he was doing poorly against Orochimaru "he was to old" He was only 69 I hardly call that old look at Onoki he must be in his mid 80's n he is the most useful Kage in the battle against Madara not only the most useful but also the one doing most of the damn work!.

Hiruzen : How much longer will it take.

Hiruzen allowed the Kages to toy with him because he was waiting for the Death God to prepare himself.

Also, HIruzen was simply letting his guard down most of the time, so it's safe to say that HIruzen wasn't fighting at his best despite being outnumbered. It's fair for the Kages who is toying with him and Hiruzen who simply letting his guard down most of the time. In the end, Hiruzen was the winner, he beat Hashirama even though he was letting his guard down.

1.) Younger than Hiruzen

4.) Toying but he's not letting his guard down, he even used his legendary Mokuton and BOD
