1) Tell me where did I go wrong. I'm all ears.Nope-You have a serious reading comprehension issue or you think you can get away with intentional misunderstanding of the post and twisting it anyway you like.
2) You accuse me of trying to get away with twisting your post, yet all you've done so far is having cherrypicked that muslism should dress differently, and you made a whole lament about why I shouldn't reply to you. Thus, ignoring that all my post was supposed to be about is that as men have a dress code too, it's not about oppression. Agree or not?
3) You also ignored me saying that I agree though that the hijab in itself won't necessarily save a girl from being harrassed.
DoN't just put forth an ad hominem argument. Make some real arguments. Tell me, then, why did you highlight my quote from islamqa, that muslims should dress differently? If you don't care, why did you highlight it and tried to use it to dismiss my post, without giving any real arguments? Who's the ignorant one here?I don't. You are being extremely ignorant.
What is it that you don't mind? Running around naked, or that you actually can't run around being naked, not just by the islamic dress code, but basically, nowhere in the civilized world? You claim I assume your response, yet you sound ambiguous, so how coudl I assume your response? See, I'm even asking you to specify what is it that you don't mind.I don't mind at all. You are being silly to assume my response.
Fair enough. So, what exactly is it that you are so fiercly arguing for/against? Just what did I say for which you had to tell me to shut up, basically? Guess wut, once I tried to shut Aim64C up..it was about 1,5 yrs ago...and he made a long post explaining why I don't have individuaity, for not being able to take that others have different views.I didn't say it's necessarily a form of oppression but social conditioning too.
I got a bit butthurt but in the long run I guess he was right.
Now I suggest the same to you. Just accept that there are different societes with different perceptions of modesty. Everyone likes to think their one is the best. So, if you think liberal clothing is better than the muslim one, fine. Whatever sails your boat. But that's also just a result of social conditioning, then. Can it be abused? Sure. Can hijabs be abused and used for oppression? Sure. Is it meant as such? No.
Who's assuming what now? This is like the 5th or 6th ad hominem accusation in this thread only. Should I keep counting till you'll look even more foolish, or you'll stop making them for your own sake?Of course you wouldn't know the difference.
And? I know about that and I never denied that some people abuse it.But I can quote Muslim intellectual view regarding it. Some do find it hindrance to be forced to wear it, some may actually like it.
Again, I didn't deny that it can be used as a form of oppression. I said that there are males who respect females regardless of wearing the hijab, and there are males who will shoot at people for whatever excuse they make up, be it the absence of hijab or, f.e., that they are of a different religion, race...etc. Anything can be used as oppression, but that goes for sexual liberalism as well. But when people are shooting at a teen girl's leg for wearing jeans and not wearing a burqua denying it being used as a tool for oppression too, is just living in a bubble.
You have plenty, yet apparently you don't use any of them...Lame. I have plenty. I even carry one in my purse. You take care of yourself.
I don't really get your reasoning. God is God, only one of a kind. He can expect whatever He wants. Noone said you have to agree.God expects them to do so? What kind of God would tell people to cover their natural look?
