Many seem to think he could stick a rod into his head and have it be GG for the opponent if he is in the ritual and since Hidan is immortal it wouldnt effect him.
That is very wrong. Yes he is immortal but everything is still connected through his brain.
As seen once Asuma cuts his head off the connection his brain has to the rest of the body is gone and his head can still talk while his body is unable to do anything.
Same would happen once he sticks a rod into his brain, it will stop all function in his body and nothing will move and he will be lifeless. He would obviously come back if said object was removed from the brain but if he is by himself that is not happening and he just put himself down.
This is from a show called heroes where immortality is used heavily. Basically shows what I am trying to say.
