She figured out that this guy indeed has potential and one day will become a really fine ninja. Chelsea also observed one thing, expressionless face of the shinobi standing in front of her. His face was expressionless even when Chelsea explained the jutsu as well as when he mercilessly killed her clone. Maybe, his past was indeed gruesome.
Chelsea's facial tone changed to mature and serious one as she moved onto explain next jutsus in front of you.
Just like we have Shadow clone, water clone etc, we also have iwa clone or rock clone.

Description: The user creates their clone out of stone that he spits from his mouth. Unlike other types of clones the rock clones don’t disappear after being defeated but rather crumble like rubble. These clones can also be used to create a clone of other people than themselves but do not take on the abilities of the copied person. They can use up to C-Rank Earth techniques and are very resistant to physical damage such as that from Taijutsu which they can endure up to B-Rank.

Gather some doton chakra in your lungs and then spit it out in the form of stone and shape it to look like yourself. Interestingly, you can also make this clone look like other people, but it won't be capable of performing the jutsus known to that person, ofc. Also, it can use upto C-Rank earth techniques and good thing is, it is very resistant to taijutsu damage and hence you can't simply make it disappear using taijutsu moves(it can endure upto B-Ranks).
After defeated it will revert back to rubble, which you can use as a precursor for your next jutsu.

The next jutsu is pretty much similar to this one, in fact I am teaching you them together for a reason.
Chelsea adjusts her standing position and then creates two clones.
Previous one was a rock clone and now this is mud clone. Name of the jutsu isn't mud clone though, but it is 'Earth Release Shadow clone'.

Description: This technique creates a clone made of mud. Since its made of mud, it can continue to reform and mold itself back to its original shape even after taking physical damage (up to C-Rank). An unique use is that after reverting to mud, it can hold the opponent in place as a binding technique. They can also use up to C rank earth techniques.

Just like previous jutsu, form mud clone.
There are many good things about this clone btw,
1. It can be used to hold your opponent at his/her position.
2. It can endure physical damage upto C-Rank.
3. It can use Doton jutsus up to C-Rank.
Now, what I want you to do is, use these two clones together to attack my two shadow clones as they try attacking you using taijutsu.

Tiashe blushed ever so slightly at his teacher's praise, but maintained his composure. He then caught the lollipop that she threw to him. He eyed it suspiciously, but she told him him that it was not poisonous. That thought had not crossed his mind, but what he found funny was that she had given him a lollipop; usually kids received them. But he couldn't blame her. He did, after all, still have the appearance of a child. He gave her a little smile, before putting the lollipop into his pocket. He could have it later.

Soon enough, Chelsea started to explain the next two techniques to Tiashe. They both seemed similar at first, but their differences were soon made clear to Tiashe. Then, the two clones that Chelsea made whilst doing her explanation started to run towards him. They both seemed to want to attack him with their palms.

Tiashe gathered chakra in his lungs, transforming it into doton chakra by making it's composition heavy and dense. This chakra travelled to his mouth, where he let it out. A mass of stone emerged, until Tiashe performed shape manipulation on it to make it appear to look exactly like himself. It had the same eyes, hair, clothes... everything.

Chelsea's clones were still running towards Tiashe. Acting fast, he gathered chakra again in his lungs. He transformed it into doton chakra again, but this time, instead of making it hard as stone like the previous one, he made it dense and soft. As it was released from his mouth, a mass of mud appeared. Once again, Tiashe performed shape manipulation on it to make it look like himself.

Both the clones stood near Tiashe. As Chelsea's two clones drew near, Tiashe's own clones stood in her path. To their surprise, they were both knocked back by the thrust that the clones performed. Tiashe's first clone managed to deal the damage without any consequences. It simply stood right back up. The second clone, however, formed into a blob, before reforming into Tiashe's shape. It then trapped Chelsea's clone that attacked her by it's mud.

Tiashe looked at both his clones in awe. He then decided to see which one would suit him better in a battle.

Senpai, I think I would use the first one in battle more, since it seems to be stronger. Since I would use these two clones mostly in short ranged fights, the first one would be better because in short ranged fights, Taijutsu is very common. And this first clone can take up to B-Rank attacks. This would be quite advantageous, as it can take damage but not turn into rubble.

Next jutsus are defensive techniques, specialty of doton to be honest. Since, doton is related all about 'toughness' of rocks.

Description: The user surrounds themselves with earth, taken from the immediate vicinity, in order to fabricate a formation of rock that is capable of protecting both the user and others in close proximity, if desired. Doing so, seemingly leaves the surrounding terrain unaltered, even when the quantity of earth used is enough to form a complete dome around multiple individuals as seen when Ittan used this technique. The user can also manipulate the resulting shelter to have openings in it so as to be able to observe outside, as demonstrated when used by Kitsuchi.

This is a really easy technique to perform, as you have to gather your earth chakra and then channel it through your surrounding earth. Use this chakra to manipulate the earth around you to create the formation of earth(typically dome) to protect yourself. Although, the dome is always in close proximity to the user, it can also be altered in such a way that multiple opponents can be protected using it. The surrounding terrain however remains unaltered. You can create openings in the barrier, so as to attack your opponent or see outside as demonstrated in manga panel below:

Note, it is pretty fast and uses surrounding earth or boulders resulted due to previous earth jutsu, making it easy to perform.

Gather your doton chakra in your hands, slam them on the ground and manipulate the ground around you, to form 1/4 of dome in front of you. This dome can protect you from incoming frontal attacks. This time, I am going to ask you question directly, rather than going into detailing myself.^^

After listening to the explanation for the next techniques, Tiashe gathered chakra in his body, making it cold and heavy to transform into earth natured chakra. Transferring this chakra into his arms, Tiashe slammed his hands on the ground, sending his chakra running through it. Using shape manipulation, he made a dome emerge from the ground, covering himself fully. It was also large enough for more people to fit in it. Tiashe created a little hole in front of him, spotting his teacher. He then released it.

For the next one, Tiashe again gathered chakra and converted it into earth natured chakra. He sent it to his arms, after which he slammed his hands into the ground, manipulating the earth which rose up in front of him to be dome shaped. He then paused to consider the two questions he had been asked by Chelsea.

Well, now that I've performed them, I see that the first one covers you fully whereas the second one is only a quarter of the dome and is usually used in front. The first one would be more preferential when I am under attack from all sides because it can cover me fully. I can then create an opening in the dome to see the situation outside without harming myself. The second one is also good; I would use it for defending against frontal or one side attacks.

Tiashe gathered chakra in his gut, transforming it into earth natured chakra by making it cool and dense. He transferred it to his mouth, where it was released in bullet forms. Tiashe moved his head around to aim at different areas. His two fingers made a circle around his mouth.

Once the first technique was done to completion, Tiashe performed the Assimilate all creation technique, before proceeding to attempt the Assimilated Rock Tank. He let his chakra diffuse out into the nearby rocks, bringing them together in a dense ball, before allowing it to smash a certain distance away from himself.

For the third technique, Tiashe performed the required hand seals and gathered chakra in his feet, letting it out into the ground. The ground rose, and soon Tiashe was riding a wave of earth. He manipulated it so that some parts extended and attacked nearby trees. He then latched the mud onto a tree to bring himself down, before dispelling the technique.

Despite being damaged the wolves can reform which can keep the enemy occupied to allow the enemy make a getaway. (Can only create a maximum of 3 mud wolves)

(Doton: Domu) – Earth Release: Earth Spear Technique

Description: After performing the Snake hand seal the user will channel their chakra throughout their entire body, which then hardens their skin to a steel-like quality. This increases their defensive power to the utmost limits. The user’s skin also becomes much darker, an almost black colour. The destructive power of physical attacks is increased, making this a great, all purpose technique. But this technique when activated leaves the user vulnerable to lightning based techniques.
Note: Kakuzu bios can use this technique without the need for handseals

Since you dont have the Kakuzu bio you will need to use the required handseals to perform this jutsu.

Not wanting it to get hurt, Tiashe gathered chakra all around his body, and released it from all his chakra holes, covering his body with stones. Just as he grabbed the rabbit into his arms and curled up into a ball so that the rabbit was not exposed, a wolf made out of mud started attacking Tiashe since the rabbit was with him. However, he did not get hurt as his body was covered with stones. Tiashe then deactivated the wolf technique before removing the stones from his body and letting the baffled rabbut run off.

Next, Tiashe performed the Snake hand seal and channeled chakra throughout his whole body again, this time to harden his body to become like steel. This left his skin almost black, frightening him. Tiashe punched a nearby tree, not very hard, but it split open due to the strength of the hard body.

It’s normally followed up by Lightning release: sixteen pillar bind to create a giant oven around the opponent and then using Fire release: Firing biscuit technique to ignite the oven, hardening the mud and immobilizing the enemy target.

Description: After doing the Snake handseal and slamming his hands on the ground, he user creates a portal above the target, high in the sky from which a giant, boar-shaped, earthen lid drops and falls on the target, trapping it underneath. The lid can be hollow or solid, depending on if the user wants to deal damage to the enemy or not. Because of its size, to safely used, the lid has to be created at least mid range from the user otherwise he will also be caught inside. The biggest lid can dwarf a boss summon like Nagato's Dog or Gamabunta.

Gathering chakra in his arms, Tiashe converted it into earth natured chakra before slamming his hands into the ground and releasing the chakra. He used his chakra to manipulate the terrain underneath to rise up as giant rocks. Had anyone been standing there, their feet would have been pierced by the rocks.

Next, Tiashe gathered chakra whilst making the two required handseals. This created an opening in the sky above but around ten metres ahead of him, from which a large amount of sticky, heavy and thick mud fell to the ground.

After performing the snake handseal and slamming his hands into the ground, which allowed the chakra out, a portal was created in the sky at the same location the mud fell from. Then, Tiashe watched as a giant lid made of earth and looked like a boar, fell onto the ground. Tiashe made it hollow so that it could trap the mud underneath it from the previous technique.

Gathering chakra and molding it into earth natured chakra, Tiashe let the chakra out of his body and manipulated it to create a clone of himself, made out of mud. He then started gathering and molding chakra again whilst performing the required hand seals. As he slammed his palms onto the ground, the ground around the clone took the shape of huge jaws, which crushed and stabbed the clone. The clone disappeared as it had taken an attack greater than it could bear.

Next, Tiashe again gathered chakra and molded it by performing the snake hand seal. This caused the ground to rise up and create a kind of prison. This would be good for trapping his enemies in.

well done. with these techniques you will be able to trap your opponent with either the clone by causing it to turn back to mud or using the other two to cause the earth to trap the opponent.

The range of the pit is determined by how much chakra is put into the technique.

If the user increases the volume of earth too much, he can be forced to keep his chakra consumption down. The user can combine this jutsu with Water Style: Waterfall Basin Technique to create a waterfall.

Description: The user will first perform the Tiger → Hare → Boar → Dog and then creates a solid wall of earth as a form of defense. Chakra is either converted to earth within the body and then spat out to form the wall or the user can manipulate pre-existing earth to form the wall. The earth then instantly rises up and takes form. The barrier itself is also coated with chakra, making its strength incomparable to that of a normal mud wall. Because of the earth's special characteristics, the wall is highly resistant against, for instance, fire and water. Hizuren Sarutobi spits mud from his mouth to perform the jutsu whilst Kakashi creates a wall composed of bulldog sculptures to box-in Pain

you could perform either the 3rd jutsu by either spewing earth from your mouth and causing it to form a wall or you can cause the earth wall to rise from the ground like kakashi, as long as you mold chakra while chaining seals you are in the clear.

Tiashe gathered chakra and molded it into earth chakra as he made the Ram hand seal. He then let this chakra out into the ground around ten metres ahead of him, and manipulated the ground to to start moving in a circular motion, so that everything around was being sucked up into one point. If someone had been standing there, Tiashe would have used his chakra to make the pit deeper, causing his victim to be trapped underground.

When the earth ceased to suck things in, Tiashe again gathered chakra and molded it, this time whilst performing the Tiger hand seal. As he did this, the ground beneath his feet rose. He manipulated its shape to rise as a flat and clearly cut ledge. Tiashe reckoned this would be a good one for evading ground attacks, unless they were soft mud attacks.

Next, Tiashe gathered chakra again and molded it whilst performing a series of four hand seals. He let the chakra out of his body into the ground, manipulating it to rise up as a giant wall in front of him. It seemed quite sturdy and resistant to attacks.

(Doton: Iwagakure no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Hiding in Rock Technique

Description: The user performs the required hand seals Tiger → Rat → Snake and they then causes a cave-in by destroying the equilibrium that holds the cave together. Just removing a single vital stone throws off the balance of the cave, making it unexpectedly fragile and causing a domino effect that destroys the entire cave. The shinobi from Iwagakure use this technique in their pride tactic, luring several enemies into a cave to kill them all at once.

For the last jutsu keep in mind this doesnt allow you to create falling rocks. however if you are in a cavern or in a desert where there are tall pillars the technique allows you to release chakra thru the earth causing it to loosen the bonds between the boulders allowing them to fall on possibly multiple enemies to dispatch them in unison.

For the last one, Tiashe could not see any caves around, but he could see some rocks stacked loosely on top of each other; a result of ruining the terrain from previous techniques. Gathering chakra again, Tiashe performed the required hand seals whilst molding his chakra. Letting this chakra out through the ground, the bonds between the rocks loosened and they came falling down. Tiashe imagined that if he was in a cave, the damage would be on a much larger scale, rather than this petty pile of rubble.

I have a couple of questions. For the first technique, I don't understand the note about only blending through C-Rank techniques. I thought I could just blend through any rocks in the terrain. And with the next technique, does the last sentence mean that if the enemy is heavier than the mud, it won't work?

Letting this chakra out through the ground, the bonds between the rocks loosened and they came falling down. Tiashe imagined that if he was in a cave, the damage would be on a much larger scale, rather than this petty pile of rubble.

I have a couple of questions. For the first technique, I don't understand the note about only blending through C-Rank techniques. I thought I could just blend through any rocks in the terrain. And with the next technique, does the last sentence mean that if the enemy is heavier than the mud, it won't work?

For the first technique, you can hide in natural solid rock but when it comes to a technique that was used to create the rocks then it would have to be a technique that is C-rank or below. for example you perform Rock pillar prison and then use hiding in rock to walk thru the pillar to enter the prison you created to launch a close range attack such as taijutsu or kenjutsu.

as for the second technique, the spikes are human sized therefore you would be able to use it for bigger forms like earth golem or a large summoning.

Description: The user focuses his chakra and channels into the earth to create 2 large floating rock cubes 2 meters squared. The cubes rotate around the user to either defend him from incoming attacks (he needs to direct them using hand movements towards the attack and each cube has a C-Rank strength) or, through using the momentum created by the rotation, be flung at the enemy with incredible speed.

Gathering chakra in his legs, Tiashe molded it into doton chakra, releasing it as he stomped on the ground. This caused chunks of rocks to lift up from the ground, and Tiashe sent them hurtling towards no one in particular. As the rocks were in mid air, Tiashe gathered chakra in his chest, molding it into katon chakra. He then released it through his mouth onto the rocks as fire, causing the flying rocks to ignite into burning chunks of rocks which exploded when they landed on the ground as there was no one there.

Once that was done, Tiashe gathered chakra again and molded it onto doton chakra whilst performing the required hand seals. Placing his right hand onto the ground, Tiashe sent this chakra into the earth around ten metres ahead of him and manipulated a pillar of earth to rise up from the ground. He then gathered chakra again, but this time with a lightning affinity, and sent it into the pillar ahead of him. The pillar of earth started sending out electric bolts up to around five metres around it, so Tiashe was clear of it.

Once again, Tiashe gathered chakra and molded it into earth chakra. Focusing his chakra, he sent it into the earth, creating 2 large floating rock cubes. They were suspended in the air around him, defending him from attacks. Moving one of his hands, Tiashe manipulated one of the cubes to rotate around him, and with his other hand, he manipulated the other cube to start rotating, and then he flung it away from himself at a very fast speed. It landed on the ground around fifteen metres ahead of him, making a huge cloud of dust rise up.
