I don't see how it's common knowledge there is no indication at all that Gear 2nd Luffy is faster than Ace. Unless you have proof to back that claim up it's a baseless opinion.

Not quite how I remember it was. Not that impressive, but it is what it is. Unless that gives him some major boosts now and increases his stats, depends on how well he can use it, it wouldn't really help him. So as of now, Luffy hasn't shown anything to say that he can beat Ace.
This is different from combining 2 Gears. No new method required. To Ace that is throwing a regular punch using his DF just like Luffy throws using his Gumo gomu. Stamina for it also isnt a problem for Ace.

If Ace was faster than G2 Luffy then why didn't he grab Luffy and dodge Akainu's attack. I mean Akainu wasn't even moving that fast. Also, why didn't he show any of this tremendous speed against BB? I can tolerate people saying Ace had Haki, but seriously? Saying he can outspeed Luffy is just plain retarded.

Ace didn't grab Luffy for the same reason Marco never jumped in to help Ace for plot. Ace was able to get in front of Akainu and take a hit for Luffy. Ace wanted to protect Luffy I doubt his thoughts were at that moment I need to get Luffy out of here it was more like I need to stop Akainu hitting my little brother.

Luffy used gear second on Blackbeard yet Blackbeard caught Luffy the same way he caught Ace. Also Ace had Haki I'm assuming you mean CoA then because Ace actually had Kings Haki.

It doesn't matter if WB was healthy, he lost his CoO and couldn't prepare for Kizaru's attack. WB was not distracted when Kizaru shot that first laser through his body.
