I understand how you did it. So basically you cut out the light from the bottom original render layer and rendered it on a separate layer, then the colors by hue. Still I want to see the brushing done on the layer mask for once, so yeah, you can send me the link :).
Yes. So I basically just went with a brush size that could reveal the center of the light right away and then spammed 2 or 3 more clicks to get that glow feel.

Lol and it's fine Pavoneo.

Does anybody here knows some stuff about C4D, what you can do with it, the advantages of it etc. And is it good to be used together with photoshop?
Take a look at Sikk's signature, go to DA and check the signatures of some professional C4D users such as Wishlah, Da-Hazard, Kelly, just take a look at their C4D signatures and you'll know how awesome they are lol.

Anyway guys, who knows what are the best smudge tool brush settings that I should use in order to make a good looking smudgy?

It depends on what type smudge your gonna make I use hard brush on 90 strength to get smudge effect then start playing around with colors and swirls and so on, on the note you only wanna being using 89-90 if lower brush really small like 6 or 4 i prefer increase the strength

Sorry I thought you meant C4D renders and abstracts and shizz.
You can do 3D and 4D animation and a lot of other fantastic stuff using C4D, I often use it for Typography and 4D avatars.
If you want to get it, don't get something older than the thirteenth release, the others crash and have a lot of unfixed bugs.

Atsushi, can you upload your PSD for your treeko smudge you made? I'm really looking to have the same style but I'm not sure of how to go about it or what brush settings to use :/ Did you use a tablet or a mouse?

@-J AV- Just search for C4D packs on DeviantART or something, there's plenty of quality C4Ds you can download^^.

Generally, people shouldn't have to add the owner of the resources used unless the owner plans on making money off of the piece they make. I know that I personally use resources from 4-5 different owners and it'd be pretty annoying to have to credit them for basically no reason other than publicity when you can barely see the thing they made most of the time. It would be nice of me to credit them, but it's not necessary. There's no issues with using someones products if I don't plan on selling what I make out of it. I'm sort of repeating myself, but yeah.

totally agree! Giving credits for stuff like that would be nice but not really necessary
