I noticed this too. I guess Kishimoto never stressed this fact much prior to today's chapter.

He used the speed of FTG and the power of Sage Mode attacks to weaken the Juubi, then seal it to himself using an Uzumaki technique. All the more reason that the Sage was like Naruto. Conclusion: Sage mode and FTG are godly level techniques along with the Six Paths rinnegan techs. :p:whip:
