According to the manga, he can only perform his own version of Rasengan, which means a normal Rasengan. So how does it mean that Minato's Rasengan is way bigger than Naruto's Odama Rasengan? Is there any difference?

The title says it all, and how can someone like Madara almost got killed by 8th Guy? Indeed, Guy is fast and his attacks are OP, however why didn't Madara just used his techs to counter Guy? It doesn't make any sense if Madara wanted to test 8th Gate powers, imo... Any thoughts?
