Why does Minato kill people?

I wodner why Minato is such all heartkinded guy who kills his target. Is there any kind of mission, or does he just wreck their neck and kill them? In other words, he seems to be a lot nicer to the people rather than Kakashi who beat his student up, imo.

After seeing this latest filler made me think Minato is somehow better than Kakashi's personality, not because he is cooler.

I always viewed him as a smarter Naruto, definitely not the bottom of the class type of guy.

As such, he's more likely to "do what must be done," in my opinion. He's kind hearted, but he doesn't have patience for the enemy. The smarter/ prodigy types tend to be like that in this manga for some reason.

Definitely more of a Kakashi type character than like Hashirama or Hiruzen I would say, but not necessarily cold
